They were probably made with plastic in mind and were ported over to resin later. Those might even be first run prints rather than actual resin casts.

Liking these new star players for a change, I like the paint jobs as well, I wish I could paint half that good !!

By the looks of the Star Player list, it doesn't seem like much has been removed from there.

If they are new, will we see over-powered no-Loner blooper style like Grak & Crumbleberry, or actually balanced Star Players with Loner this time? GW/Forge World has not been consistent on the new line of Star Players.

Will we see some new crazy skills based on appearance? The White Dwarf doesn't seem to be doing much (maybe Stand Firm?), but the gobbo looks like stab and possibly some new "Tinkle" skill

I really like the Black Gobbo. Grombinald's BB model is a little... meh, that hair... The paintjob on him isn't that good either, so that might be it.

Especially BG looks perfect

I'm not really a fan of the Black Gobbo, the half falling off hat isn't working for me, and is that a knife poking through his black cloak thingo?

Maybe it is a nod to those classic ninja movies where you need to show that you are a true ninja only if you manage to remove all bells from your opponent whilst being blindfolded? Only thing I can think of.

In the meantime, Benefits of Training inducements are 100,000 gold pieces and Dirty Tricks inducements are 50,000 gold pieces.

The neoprene mat has suffered production delays or something. That issue of white dwarf went to print before they came to light. So yeah, doesn't currently have a release date.

Why is the updated pdf not from a GW link?

Now that we've seen an example of a booster pack for Skaven, what happens to Bright Crusaders and Orcland raiders? Bright Crusaders only has the same models has the standard human teams with different front armour and heads. Will they get a booster pack too, or just humans?

What is your take on the alternative rules for Bright Crusaders and Orcland Raiders in the Deathzone Season 1 book? Bright crusaders trade fouls, cheating, bribes, Dirty Player, Sneaky Git and Dirty Tricks for a chance to get extra re-rolls if their score is lower than the opposite team. This is not really broken, just a minor bonus. But the Orcland Raiders seems way too good. They roll a D6 and with on a 1, they suffer a KO, but on the other results, bad stuff happen to an opponent! High chance of gaining a potential huge benefit with only a minor chance having one of their own players out and no other penalties.

How are these teams ment to be used? As a fun one-off game, or actually part of a League? Seems like Orcland Raiders has a huge advantage over standard Orcs!

I think they're just for one-off games; the teams each start at 2 mil of value, so they'd have a huge advantage regardless. They also don't list things like "seasons completed," even though they are clearly meant to be an experienced team, and it would be crucial to know how experienced each player is for a league for retirement purposes. I can't speak for every league commissioner, but I certainly wouldn't let someone enter a league with one of these teams.

Are these confirmed to be plastic? the article does not say. If they are plastic its looking like a must buy.. however I don't feel like shelling out for resin right now. I would consider the special weapons if they were resin but a whole resin team? nah...

I don't know about the material, but the body make-up would indicate plastic. Looking for pairs of poses on the body, it looks like the following are duplicates: 2/11, 3/6, 1/22, 4/9, top left/bottom middle, 5/21.

It does look like there are some head options, though - which would make sense, as there will be room on the sprues for Goblins.

GW confirmed on FB that they are indeed plastic, and yes there are head options.

Well I was wrong. Was predicting they'd just be a box of four.

If 12 to a box then that's almost a sure 2 box buy as they are crunchy, but that does mean that there will be extras for bashing and to join the orc teams.
