i was working on a new 1500 pts list for some fun games. although the list is not planned as a tournament list i dont want a completely useless list, so i'm looking for some advice and criticism.
just for the records:
1. i know about the LoS and its powers.
2. i dont like deamon princes coz i always lose them to silly enemies in cc (tau FW....)
3. i got 3 oblits but dont like them that much either

Well, you basically deploy two Rhinos and two Land Raiders, with all squads inside.
Land Raiders can move and fire while the Rhinos are kept behind the LR wall.
However, even in 1500 pt games there are armies out there able to take down Land Raiders in a few turns.
Moreover, the list will struggle vs horde armies; replace the meltas by flamers, the god hammers of the Land Raiders can take on tanks.
In terms of the 5th ed, you will need more troops.

Two LR in a 1500 point game is only hurting your self imo.

To keep to your theme and avoid the units you don't like ... I would suggest somethign liek the following:

Huron 170
Term squad as you had them 130
10 CSM 1 melta, IoCG, Champ w/fist, rhino (no upgrades!) 245
10 CSM 1 melta, IoCG, Champ w/fist, rhino (no upgrades!) 245
8 Noise Marines 7 sonic blasters, champ with fist and doom siren, rhino(no upgrades!). 285
Land Raider w posession 240
6 havocs, 4 plasmaguns, rhino no upgrades.
1500


This leaves you a little weaker on anti-tank but boosts your model count and anti horde. Remember that Rhinos are a 1st turn ride only! Use them once while they smoke and then get out! Use them as a wall if you do not go first.
