Am attempting to build a unit of these (will count as Storm Troopers) and if all goes well I may expand to (another!) full guard army. The last of my bitz should arrive today so the plan is...
use a cadian body with these drop packs (yeah i know they dont look like Harakoni ones but i prefer them):
with these guns:
and these heads:
and a bit of greenstuffing here and there.
Reckon it'll work? gonna build the first couple tonight.

Harakoni are well equipped, elite soldiers. I'd decide which warzone they're dropping into, and paint based on that. Use either modern military or the codex as a guide. Where does one find the pulse rifle, is my question...

Harakoni Warhawks have black fatigues with sand-colored body armor according to the IG codex.

IIRC, that also had a note suggesting that those were dress fatigues.

I've seen urban warhawks in grey camo with dark blue armour before. That was pretty spiffy looking. The blue wasn't so out of place that it looked rediculous, but it also kept them from being so well camoflagued in cityfight table that the owner would lose a few on the table at the end of the day.

Nice. Any chance of seeing the pulse rifle armed models close up? I'm wanting to do something similar but with necro autoguns, and I'd like to see how you handled the arms with plastic lasguns already attached.
Thanks and nice work!

thanks for the camo guide, I went with something else but have noted the colours for future projects.
I have painted one of them as a test piece, I like the scheme and reckon I'll do the whole squad. I've had to make another couple of troopers as I hadnt thought that storm troopers cant have a missle launcher!

Excellent stuff - the Pulse Rifles look a little small to me, and I was afraid the jump packs would looks small on the Cadians, too - but I'm totally impressed - the jump packs look just the right size. Man, screw the Forge World Elysian packs for what they cost...I'm getting me some of them for my grav chutes!

rifles are a little small i found it best to clip off the stock and use the lasgun stock moulded to the cadian arm, gives it a bit more length.
I suppose carbine type gun should be shorter than a standard rifle so it kinda suits the elite look I'm going for.
heres a comparison pic

I love this model, I am looking for a similar scheme. What colours did you use? I know this is years old, hopefully someone can still help
