hay i got back to playing the game, this time i started the sub space emmarisy thing.

i was just wounder if i need to beat certin levels on a certin diffculity to unlock new players. i got all the easy ones by just playing brawl matched. i got ike, snake, and a few others i cant remember.

but ya, do i need to play it on easy to get this guy, hard for this guy ect ect...???

Unlockable: Hidden Characters

To unlock the characters below, fulfill the requirement listed. If there is a number in parenthesis next to a character, such as "(160)", this signifies that you can also unlock this character simply by playing that many matches in VS. mode. All characters can be unlocked by meeting them in the Subspace Emissary, as well. Keep in mind that you must defeat the unlocked character in a battle to retain him on the roster permanently.

* Captain Falcon - Complete Classic Mode in twelve minutes or less. (70)
* Falco - Complete 100-Man Brawl. (50)
* Ganondorf - Complete Classic Mode on Hard difficulty using either Zelda or Link. (200)
* Jigglypuff - Complete Classic Mode or complete Event Match #20. (350)
* Lucario - Using Meta Knight, defeat Lucario in Adventure Mode. Or, complete five Target Tests. (100)
* Luigi - Complete Classic Mode using no continues. (22)
* Marth - Complete Classic Mode. (10)
* Mr. Game & Watch - Complete Target Smash with 30 different characters. (250)
* Ness - Reflect ten projectiles in battle. (5)
* R.O.B. - Get 250 different trophies. (160)
* Snake - Play fifteen matches on Shadow Moses Island. (130)
* Sonic - Complete Classic Mode with ten different characters or brawl for ten total hours. (300)
* Toon Link - Clear Subspace Emissary and then clear classic mode with anyone. (400)
* Wolf - Clear Supspace Emissary, and then complete Boss Battle Mode using Fox or Falco. (450)

anung n rama. that list was very helpfull, thank you for posting that... on my way to unlock a few more of the easy ones.

as for the SSE (Sub Space Emissary)... i am only like 30% done. but i have seen a few of the characters in the scrreen before i go into a mission. like snakes cardbord box. but when i get there i do not come accross him.

i was mainly asking because there are 2 levels (so far) that it will allow me to go back and play on, and i can choose a the diffucaluty rating on them before i go back. i was woundering if mabey i chose a higher diffucaluty rating i might be able to go back and get on of the unlockables to join my patry (thus unlocking him)

Nope, Snake shows up in the last 3rd of the SSE when Meta Knight gets back on the Halberd. If you want Snake, just play a few Brawls on Shadow Moses.

Strange, Just by playing through the Subspace Emissary, I unlocked everyone but three characters.

now play classic one more time for Toon Link, the Boss Rush in any difficutly with Fox or Falco for Wolf and some weird event I forgot to get Jigglypuff.
