Ok, so I´ve checked the site twice now and there seems to be three vids.

And I agree with HBMC, i thought that or something along those lines would happen as well.

This moment warmed the depths of my xenos hating heart. I watched it again and again.

I have to say I am greatly anticipating this. The physics look amazing and the graphics are killer. Four great RTS titles on the horizon now. DoW 2, Halo Wars, Red Alert 3, and Starcraft 2. Choices, choices.

Every time I see the Dreadnought grab the two Banshees I can't help but think, "Twins, they were".

to Ahtman yes it has been confirmed that Tyranid will be in DoW2. they are building a whole new engine so they can be included.

Dear lord I just watched the eldar vs marines vid.

I think I've just worked out how GW can do a 40k movie.
The animation in that is brilliant and really conveys what I imagined a 40k battle to be like.

i am 99% sure is it "greenskin filth"

Hey, is i just noticed something with the vids. DoW2 is already done because those are actual fight scenes from the game, hmm, video games tend to back it up also. just remove the unit/squad thing and WALLAH, its a game fight.

Hey, i did some scouting on the web and some bad news for the impaitent (like me), DoW2 comes out next year in 2009. Thats all that i know so far. I will update if i find more info.

What are you talking about?

Are you saying that the Eldar v Marines movie was 'in-game footage' (it wasn't), or because they're showing footage from the game the game is finished (it isn't).

You understand how video games get developed, right? How they go through Alpha, Beta and then Gold stages (gold being the one we get), and how most games actually work before they hit the Alpha stage? The game isn't done just 'cause they're showing footage from it.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before.. but will this be Vista only or also compatable with XP?

I'm almost certaintly going to get this game, but if it wants me to install that rechid Vista I won't do it :O I simply could'nt do that to my beloved machine

Well in Microsoft's defense, Vista has been improving. It was the same deal when XP first came out it was a load of crap. But I don't think it would require you to install Vista. Hell some games that come out are still compatible with Windows 98

For sure going to be getting this for my 360.

lol, Relic have said it's PC exclusive. IIRC, the only 40k console game was Fire Warrior. RTS games are awful on the 360 anyway.

If any of you have had the pleasure of playing the excellent Company Of Heroes, you should like DOW2, as it's being developed with the same game engine. This means that buildings get damaged where they are hit, vehicles like tanks can roll over anything and the physics are generally extremely lifelike. I believe (and hope) that DOW2 will be very similar to COH. If you haven't played it, I really reccommend it. It pisses all over C&C and is much more personal than games such as Supreme Commander.

Incidentally, until gta4 was released, it was the highest reviewed game of all time. On average, per reviewer, it scored 94%. As I said, check it out, as i'm sure it will be a good indication of what DOW2 will feel like.
