So my first 5th Ed game (with Marines) taught me that there are a number of things you can't take for granted. Big AP weapons aren't really that great, but at the same time you can't always count on the "tons of shots" mantra to always hold up (I played against a Plague Marine CSM army who really only like to die when shot by AP2 guns or are hit by Power Fists).

Also I wanted a list that required me to purchase as little as possible to play 40k somewhat competitively, and I'm thinking my approach of 9 Kanz isn't always that great. Pretty much I wanted to be able to start knocking things out ASAP and I wanted a number of CC elements to the list as it's the kind of stuff I normally won't be able to deal with through the volume of shots the Boyz can normally put out.

So here are my 3 lists, the first one is much more Tournament focused:

I like all three. I think my favourite in a way is the last one, with the Warboss and his bikes and deff koptas streaking in to duff over the toughest bits of the opposing force as the rest close in. I think it would be fun.

I like the first list as well, from a tourney standpoint. I think the Kommandos are worth it, and they'll do the same job, just with less flair than the warbikers!

Mirror matches will be interesting with any of these lists, but I think the first has the best potential in a mirror.
