I really like how that piece of terrain worked out. I really want to use it for a game. We need to get some civilians thrown together to do that downtown scenario.

I like the pallet used. Are you going to take the colours up to insane neon super bright? Because that would pop really well.

Wow, I am behind on here. I have been painting and playing and having all sorts of fun and I have not even taken the time to share it with all of you. I apologize. First some pictures.






Moonpie and I have been playing a lot of Necromunda. There have been lots of ups and downs with that. We have been having a ton of fun with it. I have also been building terrain, models, and painting various things. The other day Moonpie came over and we took over the dining room table to get some terrain painted. All of what you see below was primed black and in about 90 minutes we had gotten that much accomplished. The board keeps looking better and better. One of the things I have been working on are larger pieces of scatter terrain. In the foreground of the picture you'll see a tall piece that will fit up against any of the sector mechanicus stuff but it also has a little ammo cache and some neat little hidden features that will really fit in with the board.


In the first few pictures you may see some terrain from our fabulous Solar_lion. He had sent me this great stuff a year or two ago and it has been great. One of the things we did to it to try and get it to fit in a little more was we dirtied it. We washed the buildings, added more texture, and made them feel more underhive. The pictures above were taken before we did that, btw.

Believe it or not, I have also put together some AOS Seraphon. I had bought a box forever ago and randomly put some of them together. Random, I know. Hot up on my WIP list is to paint the rest of my Van Saar. I have finished up two of them but I have like 10 to go. Then a may think about repainting the old ones, but I on the fence about that. I am a bit nostalgic when it comes to my old Necromunda models.

He wanted to get those ladders painted, because I had brought them home to paint and then left them at home when we played the game. So, we were playing on 3D terrain with very few ways to get up.

Time to resurrect my P&M page. My desk is covered with things that need to be painted, built, cleaned up, painted, and of course, painted. The weather, is still inconsistent as ever, but generally warming up. That means I will be able to some day prime again!

While I am thinking about it, lets make a short list of what needs to happen first.

In no particular order, here are the things I need to build.
Servo Hauler terrain kit
Necromunda Pub Mix Terrain
Seafall Shadowbox
That actually does not sound to bad, only three things. I am not going to build any more Necromunda guys until I have painted what I have so they are off the build list for now.

Played a lot of necromunda in my day. Have yet to play this new editiion, though I have most all the rules. Looks fun.

Lol, I should have clarified this one. I'm making a piece of terrain and a major part of it is a tall container. That container once held a yummy mix of crackers and pretzels. The mix is called Pub Mix. I'll see about grabbing a WIP today to better explain.

The new edition is fantastic. It's evolved to become a better version then the first. I love it.
I always look forward to Adepticon but i can't make it this year. It stinks but I'm sure I'll return in 2020.

Servo hauler!

Well this all got very exciting very quickly

Thanks guys! I am glad to see some excitement. I have been starring at the bits of the servo hauler. There is a part of me that wants to break it apart and do other things, but then again. The kit is so awesome, I think I may just build it as is. There is a big part of me that needs to find things for the hauler to haul. Why would a crane be in the underhive if there wasn't things that needs lifting? Right?

Very nice work Ice. I imagine that was a bit of a challenge.

The servo hauler crane bit was surprisingly easy. The hardest part was trying to clean the tank treads.

I did manage to check another hobby project off. A few years ago we played through the legacy game, Seafall. It was a lot of fun. There were a lot of things that could have been better with the game but over all we had a blast playing it. For Christmas I made 9 x 9 shadow boxes for three of the players using parts from the game.

This week i finally finished the larger version for my wife and I.


It was a lot of fun to put together. I really enjoyed making some art out of an old game. I may do the same for pandemic legacy too.

What do you guys think?

I think it's an excellent idea. I might do that with my 40k stuff.

That's a good idea Gits. You could probably do some really neat displays with some of your old Mantis Warriors.

In other WIP news, i finally got some paint on some terrain that has been waiting around for some time.


Some purple Sylvaneth trees!

Nice to see some trees in a different colour. No reason they would not be in different colours around the universe. Looking good so far.

Thanks a lot Cam. I have a lot to do on those trees, but it'll be worth it once they are done. One downside to having an ice board is that there is very little color except white. Some purple trees really look good on the board.

Happy Quarantine everybody!

I have been busy working away at all sorts of things. I have once again neglected my dakka but here are some things I've been slowly working through. Necromunda has been my focus as of late. I have helped to arbitrate three campains now and I am working on a fourth. We have played through each campaign type and played by the book, this next one is set to be much more narrative driven. That being said, terrain and random characters have been my next focus of attention. Here are some buildings a friend of mine cut and I have been arranging and putting together. I set up a board just with the matching painted terrain, but with out all the scatter goodness. I also have been working on a servitor knight hauler and an enforcer gang. I'll try to get some pictures and put them up here.
