Thanks, well, I'm not giving the hood the curved/pointed bodywork, but the fenders were a bit too low, so I figured the thickness of plasticard would give some paint contrast there anyways

Dave I have some of the ravenwing lamps if you want them for headlights/rooftop lamps, just let me know.


I had made a winch using bits from the rhino sprue and a a tube, wrap some wire and viola.

Unfortunately my original got busted during the move so this is just tacked on with poster glue.

Put a couple of lamps a top to show what I was thinking for the jeep.

I've got the headlamp mounts figured out, It's the rest of the front end that has been taking so much time....


This is the last picture before I take the belt sander to the hood to try and give the hood sides a slope downwards towards the headlights. I'll mount more lights on the bumper bar wen I start building the bumper/winch rig (on the bottom half (screws still hold the top and bottom halves together remember )

LDD- I had that very same Action Force Jeep, as well as a few other things. I believe they are still in the loft above my head...

dave... you have some serious guts... using a belt sander on that lil piece of glory... you certainly try hard to gain anew my respect...*bows*... i like the jeep as is... but what we really need to see now is...a sitting catachan driver to see if the seats fit the bill... i have learned a hard lesson that often this particular detail is as crucial as can be...

and at theo... that lorry is simply awesome...and very inspiring! and mates... woudl you believe that i had almost no war related toys back in my days? my mother tried to raise me as a pacifist...fat chance^^

I have some friends whose children are not allowed guns or soldiers. As soon as they get chance they are all over my kids toy guns. What's funnier is that they eat their breakfast toast and make guns with the crusts, drives their Mum nuts.

As to the jeep, sweet Dave, sweet. Got to agree with Vik though, need to make sure scaling is good for driver.

you really should apreaciate the fact that you lot never lost a war and got treated as if war is not a game for kids... here in western germany (berlin) many peeps looked at war related toys with much more than just a frown...

god... i am so envious about you lot!...

as for closeups.... those bigger guns in green and the red thingy just at the right of these?

Sadly some of these things have seen better days and quite a few of them were before I had use of them as most of this was hand-me-downs from my older brothers.


I even found the bomb that fits under the helicopter as well.
and a second side-car for the bike...


Also seen better days as the red gun is missing one gun barrel and the controllers panel.

the red gun reminds me strongly of the big guns of clone wars these days...

a little bended and dusty but for conversion work these have lots of potential... of course one might just cherish the existence as is

Yeah, I upset many spiders digging this lot out...

For now, these will just be housed away safely for the future and what that may bring.

I threw away loads of my action man stuff at the start of the year. I should have sent it to you guys or something. Hopefully some little kid is having a ball with attack helicopters, cars and bike and stuff.

seeing those guns.... i think i have been a gun nerd all of my times... i still fondly remeber my guns from the only Star wars action figures i had... the ATAT drivers... they had a different kind of blaster then the standard troopers...

Good old Z force trucks I had 2 of those, and Zartans skiff does that not change colour in sun light if I recall correctly

I was sure the green plastic on the Skiff changed colour, Yes his skin changed a blue grey in sun light and he had a back pack that held the mask in it.

Buzzer has that chainsaw that could cut through a bank vault like butter Ripper carried some sort of Slanneshi butt-torture weapon.

Oh yeah, Wikipedia says the skiff is supposed to be thermal reactive. But either mine isn't, isn't anymore or my hot little hands aren't hot enough...
I've chucked it on the window sill (as the sun's out) and will see if that does anything.
