I am toying with the idea of deamons. I am following a rule of "Armour, lots of it or none at all" I am doing tons, a Rhino rush.

Should I kill the termies in exchange for another tac squad?

Uhh dread, demon prince, defiler,predator, oblits, and termies?

...those aren't rhinos or units you take in a rhino rush.

4 Rhinos is not a rhino rush. More like a rhino movement.

Fine. So if I were to drop the termies and get another normal squad, would that work?

I have Predator and Obbies for anti tank and such. The obbies work well with the DP.

The Prince is simply the best HQ choice for chaos.

What do I replace the dread with?

You can run a Chaos army that is a true Rhino rush and does not worry about tanks because it carries it's anti-tank with it. I will see if I can find that list, I am sure I posted it.

i think that stelek has a point with his army. 5 men squads of noise marines with their own rhinos is a perfect combination. they can secure objectives fast, and can shred infantry as soon as they step in 24" range. all rhinos=a-ok. a true rhino rush!

I think this list could benefit from some LRs. Drop the Oblits, Pred, and Defiler, and go for 3 LRs. Terminators make sense then, and I would also say that your normal marines would be better off as Plague Marines or TSs.

Could use some work.

Okay, drop the Dread and take 4 Rhinos with Cult Marines and a larger deep striking Termie squad with combi-weapons; leave the HS and DP as they are. This should be a decent army.

yeah...
the problem withrhino rush in 5th especially with lots of small squads... is annihilation

3 rhinos carring 10men is worth 6KP.
6 rhinos carring 5 men is worth 12KP.

You have to decide how much your betting on getting:
a objective mission 66.6%
or the annihilation KP mission 33.3%

or look for a happy medium which is pretty much your first list with 4 rhinos...
Four scoring units that offer 8 KP... and is still pretty rhino'y

oh and keep the dread... they have yet to prove it to me but I still have faith in those bad boys!

I mean no offence, and the blame lays entirely with me for not being slightly more specific.

Perhaps I misused the term "Rhino rush". Either way, what I am trying to achieve is a chaos force that can get Berserkers into close combat by the second or third turn while avoiding fire.

I am definitely dropping the terminators, I see that now. I also am considering dropping the Chaos dreadnaught.

The strategy I like to use with this list is to move the rhinos up and hop out, lash an enemy in front of the sons and/or obbies for shooting goodness, and then second turn lash something in charge range.
