Apparently chaos knights now all have chosen stats (and equivalent point costs) ie there is no such thing as an unchosen chaos knight anymore. Also supposedly marauders, ogres and chaos trolls can now be marked. I am a bit sceptical of this but we'll see I guess...

Also there are rumours of two known special characers - one the king of the chaos trolls, and the second a dragon ogre character.

Also from Warseer:

Marks of Chaos:

Khorne = Frenzy
Nurgle = -1 WS and BS for enemy when attacking or shooting the unit
Slaanesh = Itp, but ASF also for characters and I think Giants and Ogres.
Tzeentch = +1 ward save and +1 to cast if you are a wizard.

Army rule IS re-roll panic.

Gaze of the Gods table
you roll 2D6 in certain situations, which are:
Character wins a challenge (doesn't include beating unit champs however)
Character kills a large target

Trolls regenerate 2 or more wounds

Characters can get Chaos Gifts aswell as Magic Items (much like how the
Vampire Powers work)

War Alter is IN!!! Sort of like a Chariot mounted Cauldron of Blood if you
will in that it is a chariot type model but gives benefits similar to the cauldron

Knights are S5 with magical attacks, or
at S6 with non-magical attacks, lance replaces the magic weapon.

On top of that, Chosen may roll at the start of the game and the War Alter
allows one unit per turn roll, as one of its benefits.

Horsemen and Giants can now be marked, and Ogres can be marked too.
Oh, and Ogres have Chaos Armour

Also I really like what they have done with the marks for Tzeentch and Nurgle- Much more characterful

Like the new marks, like the unit line up, love that you can mark more units. Marked ogres? With 4+ armor? Hells yes. I know a few chaos ogre players who will be happy to be able to run their counts as OK armies as chaos brute armies (led by the character that makes them core).

Also on Forsaken, I heard something along the lines of S5 T5 and a high Movement to get them where they want to be.

Good to hear on the drop of non-chosen knights, more interesting this way. And with a lance too, groovy.

I remember that rumor on Warseer, but the complete thing was if trolls regenerate 2 or more wounds (at once?) than X happens to make them better. My guess is adding attaks (more arms / heads grow back).

When you say tzeentch gets +1 to ward save, do you mean they only get that if they already have a ward save?

So a unit of warriors marked with tzeentch gain no benefit? tzeentch only benefits characters?

le sigh ...

No ward save + 1 = 6+ ward? Ala the get you by rules, a talisman of protection for everyone.

Great ... so we ended up getting the "get you by..." WD rules for Tzeentch, but atleast our wizards get +1 to casting.

It looks like my Tzeentch army might be staying in retirement for the time being, or being sold (if anyone would want crappy overpriced warriors with no ward save or a 6+ ward save, that is ...)

Awsome. I have so many Chaos Warriors waiting to be built. I love the idea of only chosen Knights. I like the gifts and magic items, alot more variety in characters (I hope). Marks look good. I just hope Lords of Khorne don't lose their frenzy if they lose by combat res. I never like the champions of the blood god getting tired and not being mad anymore. -K

Wow, marked Mauraders would be sick. You could get ItP or Fear Causing guys for fairly cheap, making the block fairly decent.

And if Chaos Ogres somehow get Chaos Armor, Marks, and a character that lets them be core, then I will have to re-paint my OK army and find a way to tack on some conversions.

That Chaos Lord is everything the Chaos warriors should be.

He just needed a long cloak, and he'd be perfect. And some leather boots ala warriors (and the Khorne lord needed those, too) to be promoted from a very interesting miniature to a complete must buy.

I cannot argue with that chaos lord model, damn nice. The only thing I dislike is the extra spikes all over his horse, but grudgingly I admit that they could actually serve a purpose unlike a good number of chaos I AM SO SPIKY models :S

I like the new lord on the horse. I might actually buy a few GW models for my nascent Hordse of Chaos "counts as GW" army.

It would actually explain those attacks from the mount! That's a really nice model. That horse looks solid enough to carry a Space Marine. I dig it.

Hopefully the Dragon Ogres will get a re-sculpt for this new book. Those models look awfully dated now.

That chaos lord mounted on the steed is so awesome in all its Frank Frazetta-inspired-ness that I am going to have to get that just to paint it. Very nice piece.

That lord on Jugger is great too. GW is really stepping up with the sculpting lately.

wow, that is an amazing model! i have wanted to get into fantasy for ever but i could never make my mind up abut the army i wanted to play. This may make the desicion easy for me.

Been looking at the over 100page thread on Warseer for a little while now sifting through for the goodies.

The new mini's look amazing. Hopefully the book will back it up to make a fun army to play.
