I think its likely this will be the last Spearhead, and its not going to be available in large numbers. UK indies are only getting a max of 3 of the SM spearhead currently.

Those knights are amazing! WAY better than the current metal ones.

Love the eyes on shield! But not very happy with knights helms... way to big horns, a bit overkill if you ask me.

I think I'm going to heve to see the knights in the flesh.
They are super mega loaded with details that I think will either win or fail in 3 dimensions rather than an undecided for a pic.

Whom ever GW has working on horses now needs to stop. They clearly went to the PP "horses are just large dogs" school of sculpting, and that is not something we need with WHFB.

Makes me fear for Rough Riders... finally get a plastic kit, only to be coupled with terrible horses... that would be bad.

Still, in plastic that should be fairly easy to fix.

Makes you wonder why they went and made them look so different to the on-foot Chaos Warriors. Those models are *perfect* - they are what a Chaos Warrior always should have been - so why go and make overblown, busy and jarring Chaos Knight models when all they had to do was make mounted Chaos Warriors and they would have been beyond awesome.

Also odd in that the new plastic marauder horsemen helmets are much closer to the current knights.

My hope is these are the chosen knights and the current knights wil be kept as regular, non goofy helmeted chaos knights.

I think they would be chosen knights as they look very similar to the metal chosen chaos warriors in that they to choose to go to town in the latest OTT horns, skulls and ridiculously oversized weapons.

It's pretty much confirmed that the new "Chaos Knights" have the same profile as the old Chosen Knights from the HOC book. They wear Chaos Armor, have 2 Attacks base and can have either S5 Magical Attacks or have S4 with Mundane Lances (so S6 on the charge) as an option.

Thanks for even more pics Gonads. Of the new lot, I suppose I like the chosen champion, or perhaps the chosen dudes with chaos star helmets. Otherwise I dunno, not really grabbed by this stuff. Sigwald is a nice sculpt, but not really getting the OMG EEVIL vibe off him ...

Of all the new models I've seen I think the mounted marauders are my favorite, and the most needed too (besides plastic hounds but those things look kinda ... not great in the spearhead pic). Handy too because if/when I do chaos I intend to have LOTS of those fast cav boys

Does anyone else feel khorne is getting a bit of a shaft? I mean all the other marks get something useful and perminant. Khorne, once again, gets frenzy, which can be almost a disadvantage in ways. Warriors, while cheaper now, still will cost over 200 points for a decent size and command. With mark of khorne, your adding (what im guessing) 4o points, so your guys can be controlled on the field. sure they get an extra attack, but as soon as you loose one round of combat, those points you invested are worthless. They didnt even give bloodletters, Khornes own daemon soldiers frenzy. I think is preety stupid that these Bad*sses would suddenly lose their frenzy after a unit of mortals beats them. Personally, i think the mok chould be changed to have osmething like hatred. If they want to give em frenzy, make it so they cannot loose it, like a proper khornate would be like. Dont give them frenzy when everyother god is getting something so much more useful.

I love the background on this guy that they mentioned at the GT. He requires his bodyguard to have their shields polished to a mirrored sheen so he can see himself on the battlefield at any time.

I don't think Khorne is getting the shaft anywhere near as much as the 3 ft thick pole of nerf that got shoved up Tzeentch.

ugh, those chosen are terrible. Not only do they look bad in comparison to the current plastics, but the weapons are beyond huge, something which I had hoped had died with the 5th edition plastic chaos warriors. The unit champion is not too bad, although if you squint, you can see that he is clearly an orc in disguise. Where are the mutations, the varried weapons, etc? all they need is a bent spine to put us back to the old models.

Prince Sigvald is a nice looking miniature, aside from the horrible sword. Not sure how he fits into the rest of the Chaos line though, what with his comparatively fantasy armor, no fur cloak, and mincy loin cloth. If you told me he was an elf, I would belive it. That is not a good thing folks.

I can not decide if the wanderer is terrible, or if he only needs to have some details prunned away.

I love those chosen. Anyone want to trade heads for my chaos army?
EDIT: I hope that the mutation on the Champ doesnt come molded on, as that would suck. I agree that he looks like an ork, don't like him nearly as much as the regular chosen.

Metal, so expect them to be pricy.

I belive that new plastics are the knights, marauders on horses, and the daemon prince.
