It's actually just reaaaaally long colored fibres. You can buy them in bags at any hobby store. You line it all up in your hand ( a pain in the butt) then snip it, then put a dab of glue on your base and hold it there till it dries which doesnt take long if you use scenic glue.

That package is enough grass to make about 10 of those terrain pieces.

...or you could just use yard brushes which are about £1.00 (I'd say about $2) as mentioned above and have enough for half an army lol

I recon yard brush bristles would be way too thick for this.

I'm guessing a "yard brush" is the same thing as a broom?
Anyway a horse hair paint brush would be closer to the mark for thickness.

Yeah, more specifically, a shop broom.

what about the kind of brush that comes with a 'dustpan and brush', you can get different brushes (brooms) with different sized bristles depending on thier intended purpose (indoor brooms have finer bristles than outdoor etc)
or what about a large paintbrush, the kind you paint your house with?

Ive ordered a couple of pieces from him now. I really must say his work is of the upmost qualty. I think the bristles are actully nylon from possibly a broom or brush or somewhere in that line. They are not the woodland scenics brand. yes, shipping for one piece is not cheep.. but eveytime i have ordered he has charged me WAY less than actully shipping.. Hes not making any money on the shipping aspect to be sure. hes a top quality ebayer.
