Epidemius and his gang of rotten brothers.

The thought behind this army is that Epidemius has come to an old world that is just getting recolonized. The world was a site for a war between Chaos Marines and a forgotten Space Marine successor chapter. When Epidemius came to the world, he infected the populace with multiple plagues. One of the plagues was to imbed the spirits of Plague bearers into the disease itself. Those that received this gift, would slowly become a true Plague Bearer and join Epidemius on his quest to find the ultimate disease. During his travels, he sensed the fallen dreadnoughts and the geneseed locked within. He infected these old warriors and they rose up as Daemon Princes ready to serve Epidemius in his quest. Through the sheer amount of those infected, Epidemius attracted the attention of a Great Unclean One Kulik'Gotharn to join his Black Plague.

But yeah, that is why I have some zombies mixed in with Plague Bearers to represent those that are turning. The Daemon Princes are my old Nurgle Dreads from back in 3rd edition days before I quit playing for a few years. I brought them back, and thought they would make a nice representation of Daemon Princes with Iron hide.

Ignore the flamers in the pics, they are not a part of the overall army, they were just painted up at the same time. Anyway onto the pics.

Full Army

Missing is the GUO as it was painted after playing with the army for a bit and doing well at a Tournament. Lucky me, I didn't get pushed off objective by damned vehicles. The next thing to add is to create some Beast of Nurgles. I have 2 real ones, and plan on using the chaos Spawn kit, mixed with some green stuff to create the rest of the army. The other thought is to create Ku'goth and have him running around throwing his love to all his enemies.

I plan on taking this army to the Las Vegas GT, due to not really wanting to have to sit there and just try to win win win with a hard list. Also I just want to throw down with some Nurgle damnit hehe. If I don't play versus too many Land Raiders and other vehicles, I might do ok. Hell the army gives issues to Horde Orks with the high toughness and Feel no Pain.

List
HQ: Epidemius
HQ: GUO, Breath, Cloud of Flies
Troops: (12) Plaguebearers, Instrument - Epidemus's hang out Gang
Troops: (13) Plaguebearers, Icon, Instrument
Troops: (13) Plaguebearers, Icon, Instrument
Troops: (13) Plaguebearers, Icon, Instrument
Heavy: DP, Iron Hide, Mark of Nurgle, Cloud of Flies, Breath of Chaos
Heavy: DP, Iron Hide, Mark of Nurgle, Cloud of Flies, Breath of Chaos
Heavy: DP, Iron Hide, Mark of Nurgle, Cloud of Flies, Breath of Chaos, Daemonic Flight
Pts: 1744

To up it to 2000, I add in more plague bearers, and wings to all the DP's. I could also add another Herald but that is pretty pointless most of the time. Besides that, I could look at adding Beasts and see about squeezing in Ku'Goth. But yeah, that is what I will be throwing down with.

I can only hope that GW uses some intelligent match-making the first round so we can get a game in.

I anticipate however you'll play a Khorne Demon Army, and I'll end up playing Blackmoors inquisitorial army.

I usually run this army around town. I've been playing long enough that I really just want to have fun for most of my games. This gives me a competitive enough army, without being awful to play against. And it does well versus orks heh. And everyone likes killing zombies haha.

But so far in games, they do very well versus anything troop heavy. Vehicles are a pain in the ass to deal with and if your DP's screw up, then the games can be very hard. I usually split it up with Epidemius's, Plague bearers 4 epidemius, 2 DP's, and the GUO in the first wave. After that it is all about trying to icon off and keep things from getting too stupid.

But yeah, you come down and just kinda ooze around and try to get objectives. Kill points are pretty good, due to Plague Bearers just living a long time with the power of feel no pain. Anything with a ton of vehicles can suck as they can tank shock me off objectives if the DP's are dead.

And it would rock if we get paired up haha. But yeah, watch me play a Khorne army or another nurgle list. Or hell a Plague Marine list. Woot, lets get the tally up there hahaha. And everyone gets 2+ wounding power weapons.

And the tonka truck thingie is something I am messing around with for a Battle Wagon. Might just rip off the treads and put them on some GW tank, in order to keep it legal for tournaments. The BW will be coming out sometime in the future.

Well luckily for you all I have is troops.

Sadly I have a DH retinue and some GK's to tickle you if you drop close enough.

Odds of my DH army actually playing against Demons? Impossible!

Odds I will play the other DH player? A Sister player?

About as good as the odds you will play a mech force every single game. lol

Heh, I know. Arghs, if I play you, I will just have to deep strike away and ooze around to get over near you hah.

But yeah, watch me play mech all the way. 6 Rhinos, 2 LR Chaos. Awesome, let me kill all your troops as your rhinos push me around the table. Bastards. Machines are just jerks hehe.

You should see about getting Bigred to take some pics (with that ridiculously nice camera) of the finished army for an Army Profile ^_-.

I agree, once I get some objective markers created, I will see if I can get Bigred to take some pics for me and get some nice pics done. I am hoping this Thursday, that way I can create a packet for the tournament. Unit listings etc for the army list. Get a nice packet created etc with a bit of story and some art. That should look neat.

Great looking army, Goatboy. Very colorful -- and the Demon Princes look fierce. Any chance we could get a close up on each of them?

London (work) / Pompey (live, from time to time)

last tourny i played with my daemons (before selling them and started IH) i had my khorne daemon army and i got paired up with a nurgle damon army, ended up comming 2nd, due to having to fight a mix of daemon hunters and sisters :K

gl, and nurgle armies tend to be pretty hard to take down, and its not often you see an army that is tough and strong, but nurgle is one of em.

gl mate.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Cool army! It would be a pleasure to play against! I appreciate armies that have lots of modeling work in them.

I just don't feel like throwing down with the orks this time. Might play it another time, but I feel like running around with fat, bloated, diseased carriers of slow doom.

You can throw in some bases of Nurglings for 2,000 and if they kill enough they are uber death swarms. Wounding on 2+ with no armor save and three wounds, sounds spiffy to me.
