Thats it! White Scars, do they work!? Mongol Space Marines seem like an interesting idea! For the Khan and what not.

New White Scars are pretty mean, especially with Kor'Sarro Khan leading them, letting his army Outflank.

Don't forget about the Command Squad on bikes with FNP from the apothecary...using Outflank. They're like Plague Marines with mobility and CC ability.

I think armies of outflanking terminators in LR variants and tac squads in rhinos to grab objectives and support seems pretty scary. I mean, well, it would be hard to deal with. Really hard. 20" charge range coming from a side? Nasty. EAsy to clear side objectives, assault terms+LR and a tac squad to hold it. That would be an insanely fun army to play, and insanely beastly. I may have to rethink my lack of fear of the new SM. That and Crimson Fists and Salamanders. Also insanely good. The rest seem to fail in comparison.

I play WS, and they're good fun. You have to remember, though, that although they SEEM like a CC long-charge-range army, they're not really. The bikes can't have many special CC weapons, and they can't get a plus one for an extra CC weapon.

Best used as mobile firebases and objective grabbers...

This has probably been covered in some previous thread, but unless i'm completly mistaken, I thought bikes had trouble getting to objectives placed anywhere but ground level. Say on a tower. Also by having trouble i mean i think it's against the rules or something. All that asside this looks like a whicked fun army to play. Good thing i'm broke atm....

bikes are REALLY expensive, but outflank makes up for it
but playing white scars is like playing eldar, you have to have everything work in perfect order with each other and every thing you try to do needs to go off withoiut a hitch
so get to kno ur units and ur tatics really well before trying

Only certain troops are capable of clambering to the upper levels of ruins. Accordingly, only infantry, jump infantry, jetbikes, monstrous creatures and walkers may move on the upper levels of a ruin – and only if the model can physically be placed there. Other units may only move on the ground level of the ruin.

Ouch. Is it fluffy to have WS Assault marines, or maybe some rhino squads, or are they basically all about the harleys?

Yup WS's have plenty of Tac marines with transport since they're a full chapter, not a subsection of a chapter like ravenwing.

Shakka'Khan (leave Moonbeam the motorcycle at home) leading a hit-and-run squad of assault termies that Outflanks in a dedicated landraider, along with another outflanking squad of regular termies in a dedicated landraider seems pretty bees knees. As others have mentioned the bike command squads with FNP doing their outflank as well will be pretty nice.

Don't know what I'd do with the rest of the points though, the marine book is pretty lackluster otherwise.
