Well ive started orks recently and ive fallen in love with the smaller of the two squiggoths, the £60 squiggoth.

i just have a few questions.

Can a regular Ork army use the squiggoth or does it have to be feral?

Anyone that has a squiggoth, how hard is it to assemble?

Are forge world rules different to the feral rules, if so were can i get these rules without buying that horribly priced book ( i'll be damned if i pay £40 forone set of rules)

also, id like to see some of the forums squiggoths! place a black reach nob beside it for scale please!

i really do need help, because warseer have been less than helpful...

In apoc you can use what you want, so your normal orks could use it there. In a normal game just use it as a battlewagon. Removed by Iorek -- Do not advocate the theft of IP

i brought one a while back, very easy to assemble, just make sure it all fits and is cleaned before you start.
sold mine in the end and go £70 lol (did have a kannon on it)

i used the rules from the freal ork list with opponents consent.
but i guess it can be used as a battle wagon.

size wise its around 3.5 - 4 times the size of a ork boy.

I recommend using it as a gun wagon as its a bit too small for a BW

I bought one, it's very easy to assemble, basically about 4 pieces.
I use it as a battlewagon with deffrolla and grabbing claw to represent it's close combat attacks.
Seems the best way to use it!

from what i remember:

body is all 1 piece, just needs the jaw plate stuck on and the tail, then the howdah(sp?) and the ammo rack if you want it on.

and of course, the 4 boyz you get with it.

I left the jaw plate off cos it was warped. Looks alright anyway.

mine was a little warped but i just left it in warm-ish water and the gently re-shaped it and it then fit fine.

Someone had a very good article a while ago about making a squiggoth, not sure who. Just search "musical squiggoth" in dakka, and you should see.

It was musical because he put speakers in it. A weird idea, but he did it very well.

EDIT: It was jamsessionein, and his post can be seen here.

His was the big squiggoth however, but you might get some ideas anyway.

The FW rules are different from the feral rules. Not sure how you can get them other then from FW.

Fairly easy to assemble, like other resin pieces you will probably need to warm the pieces and reshape some of them to fit correctly.

A regular ork army can use the FW ones, but check with tournament organizers to make sure that FW is allowed.

What are the Feral Ork rules?

Is this an older army list or something?

Feral Orks were a sub list for 4th edition that worked off the old 3rd edition codex. They were shootier, but less fighty, and had squiggoths and boarboys as units, aswell as madboys.
They were fairly popular I think.

My squiggoth is just about 6.5 inches long from tail to snout without the iron jaw, which would add a small bit to that.
He's about 3.75 inches across at the base of his feet.
Minus the howdah, he's about 3 inches tall, the howdah adds another inche to 1.5 inches. I can fit about 5 boyz at a squeeze, and has places to mount big shootas and rokkit launchas. (which don't come with the squiggoth.) It's also got shells in the back, and a place to mount a killcannon if you feel like it. (Or a lobba, or a kannon or zzap gun)

So GW had them cut out, they are now as dead as LATD.

i think itsallways nice to keep a mix
if your going battle wagon make a killkannon
all you ned is the gun and housing from a basalisk, then re-make a platform for the loaders and gunners.

Same problem as last time. I can't find the damn camera!
As soon as I do, I'll post a pic. Sadly, my squiggoth still isn't painted after 4 months.

I was debating colour schemes for ages, then I moved house and started a new job.
I'm planning to paint it this week after payday- need to buy some new paints!
I believe I ran around my house yelling "SQUIGGOTH!" and grinning insanely when it arrived (it was like 3 months late!).
