Any advice on modelling winged daemon princes? I was thinking maybe trying zombie dragon wings from fantasy on the nurgle daemon prince for my deathgaurd, and any ideas on putting a lash on the Be'Lakor fantasy model? The model looks awesome and would work as a winged prince, but just isn't nurgly looking, but i'm going to use him for my lash princes. Thanks

Zombie dragon wings will work well with a Nurgle Prince. But Dragon wings looks good too. The only advice I would give you is glue it on well and make sure to cover the entire attachment area with green stuff. This way it does not look like the wings are merely attached but rather a part of the model.

Pinning, pinning, pinning. This is a must, cause someone will eventually try to look at your model and list it by the wings.

Greenstuff the joins for sure, make it look like it is part of the model.

I dont like the look of ginormous wings, so I used the wings from a Reaper mini of a Dire bat, see my Prince below:

good luck and post pics when your done

My Slannesh DP (one codex back) with my Emperors Children used griffin wings. I thought it fit the fallen grace / false beauty of Slannesh better.

I own that bad boy and, let me tell you, he is a BEAUTY.

With TLOS, though, you'll want to but that huge rocky outcropping he's standing on in your bits box and put him directly onto a 60mm base (his stance is too wide for a 40mm).

I had a review of him somewhere...

Eric

Edit: Found it!!

I'm using Lizardman Terradon wings on the Daemon Prince model. With a bit of bending they look good.

I have also seen Carrion Wings on the Nightbringer for a Nurgle Prince, and Dark Pegasus wings on the Deceiver.

For a Tzeench, I'm actually in the process of finishing up one that utilizes wings from a WE warhawk rider. I'll post when he's done, but I think it looks pretty cool.

here's one I made a while ago for the night lords army I started then traded away.. I used the chaos dragon wings for him

On my new dp I was going to use be'lakor wings but they just didn't seem like they would fit good so I decided to just leave him wingless

The new plastic daemon prince they've got in the works should solve alot of the wing issues.

Funny you should mention adding a lash to Belakor. I just finished mine for the Chicago GT. I cut the sword off and drilled a small hole, then took 3 lengths of floral wire and braided them together. As I got close to the end I split them back out and added a metal barb (tips from the old school rhino dozer blade spikes) for a 'cat o' nine tails' effect. I also cut his pointing hand off, cut down an extra daemonette claw that I had and glued it in place. Along with a white body and pink horns and claws, it's a subtle but effective Slaaneshi conversion. I already had an Undivided one for my Iron Warriors, only change to him was swapping the sword for the 40k DP sword. Now the plan is to make a Belakor for each of the other powers...
