a long time ago, namely, 10 or more years, i found a tiny metal model of a dreadnought, i didnt know what it was at the time because i was not into 40k yet, and subsequently forgot about it. it is about 1cm high, has a layer of grey paint that has worn through in places and has a power fist and what looks like a plasma cannon, but the details are hard to make out.

i wanted to ask dakka dakka, what the hell it is from? maybe forge world size? but it is extremely small to be forgeworld.....need your thoughts/knowledge

Could it be an epic dread?

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

I wanted to start a game like epic up but I really don't like being gw's bitch and flames of war isn't popular up here.

Epic Land Raiders make good Cyclops demo vehicles for an IG army. Three of these is a nasty nasty way to fill out an IG Fast attack quota.

That to me sounds more like an Epic Robot than a Dreadnought to my grizzled old ears.

http://www.ifelix.co.uk/phoepic1-3.html These, confusingly, are the old *plastic* Epic Dreadnoughts, though this guy is using them as Imperial Robots.

http://www.ifelix.co.uk/games/images/img007/sf10016.jpg This might be what you are looking for however.

understandable. Epic is not mini 40K as some people think andlearn it's ot what they expected, the same way warmaster is a complety different game from warhammer

This would be AWESOME. But I don't think your Dreads would block TLOS very well. On the other hand, they could take cober behind just about ANYTHING. Imagine having a Battlewagon that could take cover behind a 40K-sytle Grot!

Yeah, and you might be able to fit 10 epic-sized marines in a normal rhino...

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

You could always try Dirtside II (http://www.cowell.org/~andy/min/ds2/). It's a flexable gaming system that allows you to use any models you want. You actually rate up your units. I haven't played it yet but it looks to be a lot of fun. The full rules are available for free from the publisher by following the link on the page I linked.

I think you'd have trouble fitting all 20 within 2" of the 'wagon though.

Back in 3rd edition there was an eldar army called the Kraftworld, designed to be as cheesey as possible. He used an Epic Avatar to hide from LOS.
