Hey all how is this possible??? a single troops choice held 2 objectives 13 inches apart, what he did was line up his troops 2" from each other (or with in) in a single line to hold both objectives.
This is a bad rule are we sure people are play testing these rules???

Yes, it's totally legal. In fact a 30 Boy Mob could probably hold at least 3 Objectives. The key is to shoot them until they are off of one, or Tank Shock them.
At least with the 5th rules you have to be within 3" of the Objective. In 4th when it was only 6" you could easily do this with one squad.

Objectives have to be 12" away from each other. You have to have a model within 3" of the objective - so yes, it is entirely possible.
However, if your opponent is relying on this, just assault his squad on one side... doesn't matter if you win or lose - you will pull his unit off of at least one objective.

You could also conceivable charge the center of the line and pull them off of both!

It doesn't matter... if you're standing on one, you contest it, you assault, he piles in coming off the other... ending up with zero.

You're all looking at this wrong.
Sure with 30 orks you can hold on to two or three objectives, but yes, if someone assaults the middle of the formation he'll pull you off of both.
But with 6 bikes, you can snag 2 objectives on the last turn of the game so long as they're within 24 inches of your starting position. To hell with holding them for the entire game.
With a full ork bike squad you could most likely grab 3, but I've never tried

If you strung them all out so they were in a straight line and each two inches from each other, you could have a five foot line of them. That might take quite a lot of objectives.

Panic.
It's all very clear in the rules.
Nothing would happen as orks are fearless over 10 models, you may have to move to move a few ork models depending on where the tank stop. Only models in the path of the tank may DoG.
|
In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"... |

If the Orks had to move out of coherency, because you left the tank in their lines, they would be forced to move back into coherency. Possibly breaking the chain they had going.
