As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

So you're saying that it's the usual choice between a giant douche and a turd sandwich? I personally was completely uninterested in the whole mess, but now I'm leaning toward Obama, just to see if he gets assassinated before or after the swearing-in ceremony, or while he's taking the oath. That's assuming that the voting machine mess dosen't drag the whole procedure down the crapper. I really wrote this because I'm allergic to bananas.

Even for smear tactics that piece doesn't stand up well. My favorite points:
1) apparently referring to Lucifer as the first agitator is "paying tribute to Satan"
2) I like how he says that Obama is on the record for saying he is a fan of aliskey, but then quotes a journalist who says obama utilized his tactics and got a lot out of community activism.
So, this guy thinks that people would be shocked that Obama read a book written by a guy who mentions that Lucifer was the first successful radical. My dad read Mein Kampf, that doesn't make him a neo nazi!
This is pretty sad stuff, and it's bad political advice. Attacking Obama on Rev. Wright would open up the possibly that the Dems could attack the GOP for their connections to right wing Christian hate groups.

I get the impression this had been lined up as a Hillary bash way back, taking the article at face value she appears to have had some connection to the guy. But now they're running against Obama and losing, so they'll mention Hillary' connection, mention some random guy saying that Obama's better techniques were based on things this guy argued for, and hope their audience is dumb enough to miss how dodgy the whole thing is.
It's FOX news, so it's probably good enough for the faithful.

Yeah, the whole thing reads more like a blogger trying to make a name for himself than any sort of serious advice or even reporting.
If I were to write that article, I would have written it as a litany of Obama's radical connections, and then casually slip in references to this Aliskey's Lucifer comments. Try to get the piece to conservative talk radio so they can harp on how Obama is pro-satan. It'll be more likely to get to the party faithful while doing more to plant seeds of doubt about Obama's hard-left views into the minds of moderate voters.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

The close is the best part:
"If the McCain campaign had been on its game, its opposition researchers would have gone through every single day of Obama’s life since he first set foot in Chicago in 1987. Everyone he met, everything he did. And then, having amassed all that information, the McCainiacs would have made the rest of us know about it — in a sustained, organized, and unrelenting volley.
That’s how you win a presidential campaign, even amidst hard times for your party."
Every poll in the land says negative campaigning is hurting McCain more than helping him, and yet part of the base STILL think that the problem is that McCain isn't "fighting hard enough."
Dear GOP -- didn't you just win in 2004 against a guy who spent more time throwing stones at his opponent than making the case for himself? So maybe there's a lesson there?
I retract my statement in the other thread. Forget the mid-terms. It might take until 2012 or 2016 for the GOP to start figuring things out, if opinions like these in any way represent the base.

I think the campaign has been all wrong since the primaries ended. McCain was long known as a moderate Republican. They should have been playing that up much more and pulling from Roves playbook. They should have been doing campaign ads where he said what he was going to do for us or what explain his plans and never mention his opponent. It's a bit more complicated than that, but that is the gist of it.

I dunno. I think he's been pretty clear on what he planned to do for us. The problem is that what he wanted to do was being undercut by two things. First, the general association of the Reagan mantra with the Bush administration. Second, the economic crisis serving as reminder of what happens when the top 1% are given free reign.
It isn't so much that he didn't know how to explain his ideology, but that he couldn't find anyone to explain why that ideology was appropriate; because it simply isn't.

I really like my country thank you, I don't want to see it, or the world continue to implode for the next 4 years
Though I do agree that the assassination of Barrack Obama would be the WORST thing that could possibly happen to this country. Which is sad that we actually have to talk about such a thing

Very true. There are groups in Illinois and Missouri as well. Though there are more "Black" hate groups then "White" hate groups in this area. Thats atleast according to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
And if this blog is a sign of desperation, then Obama doesn't stand a chance on the Fourth. Lord knows the ratio of left wing blog hatred to right wing is more then a little scewed.

Wait, why is the air force spending their time on this? Shouldn’t they be flying planes and running airshows? I mean, there’s moving outside of your core business, and there’s the air force running an investigation into hate groups.
And yeah, I agree there’s a lot of angry left wing bloggers out there. But the link from the OP didn’t show desperation because it was angry, it showed desperation because it was such a stupidly long bow to draw.

Well, you have to be a group and I’m guessing the people of South Dakota are too disorganised. They end up with a lot of ‘hate individuals’, but no groups.
