The human team has been available for a while now. I bought it about 2 years ago. The Griff is a new sculpt though. Very nice.

Well, the Griff is new (and far better than either the 3rd or 5th edition versions) but the Human team is about three years old now, I believe, so this is hardly new. Still, they were the last Blood Bowl team GW produced and were a huge step in the right direction IMHO. Good design, great balance between the WFB days of 3rd Edition and the Cyberpunk-esque feel of 1st and 2nd Edition, and a really good deal (16 minis, so a full team, all positional players included in the box, and two metal balls, all for $50 - compared to the 12 or 11 minis in the old boxes, that included a bad number of positional players when blisters were accounted for, and a full team costed between $60 and $100).

But just like GW. Let's bring out a single figure for a game system that we've all but killed off. One that's still hugely popular and still sees clubs and large tournaments everywhere. Let's also increase the price of the basic game by 50% even though the cost of production's hardly increased at all. So no support, no availability, little or no webspace, and one new mini per three years. Wow, that's some serious investment.

Ironically, they do. So do cheats.

Our gaming group just started up a Blood Bowl league. I ordered an Elf team (more great minis) but I can see why GW doesn't support it anymore. I spent $60 ($45 for the team and $15 on a special player) and that is likely all I will spend on the game. Compare that to a LR which costs $50 and I'm planning on buying three. GW simply can't make enough money off of the Specialists Games. It's really too bad since all of them are better than any of the main games.

Well at least they made a new models for them so it shows that Blood Bowl is not completely forgotten.

I thought they wheren't supporting Specialist Games anymore? This has kinda gotten me a little hopeful that BFG might get some attention.

Remember, you can always just cut the weapons out of fantasy models' hands for a nice looking team as well.

SG gets support. Just not very much support. IIRC, BFG got some new minis (the Adeptus Mechanicus ships) in the previous SG release.

I did notice several rare Inquisitor models popping up on the new GW site all of the sudden, like that elusive Thorian Inquisitor.

Why don't they put any one of the many OOP inquisitor figures back into production? There are loads of inquisitor figures that they released for next to no time at all meaning there are hardly any about.

True, though GW is known for bungling with Inquisitor releases. I recall that the Thorian Inquisitor wasn't released until a year after its intended release date.

They make me want to bang my head on the wall sometimes. If you cancel a figure before its made, oh well. But to go to the effort of commissioning it and having it cast but then totally ceasing production only a couple of months later? That's the story of half the Inquisitor range it seems. I'm on the hunt for the 54mm Genestealer at the moment, for a reasonable price.

From what I remember when that hellhole Exterminatus was still around GW had to drop several models because they got into a conflict with one or more sculptors. The Kal Jerico model was one of those models pulled from production because of it. Also missing are Krashak the Stalker, the Genestealer, Inquisitor Scarn, Toothpick Murke, the Vindicare assassin, Imperial Navy Bosun, Imperial Criminal Overlord, the Imperial Citizens packs (both of them) and the Sister Repentia model. I also notice that all conversion packs (bolters, force weapons, kit etc.) have been pulled and that most character variants (like Tezla and Jan van Yastobaal) have been cancelled and are no longer shipped with the original model.
