given apparently tournament players only make up 5% of players, but 110% of powergaming TFG's and fluffy casual players would be happy with a loaded dice and a bad drawing by John Blanche it's time to put your money where your mouth is...

vote, it's even more important than X-factor

Vompire, welcome to Dakka. Please use punctuation in the future. You’re arguments will be sign with greater merit and you’ll avoid people calling you on it.

Vomp, you're my new hero.

And I think that I can best sum up your poll with this:

"Whoever wins, we still lose."

Trying to play 40K on a highway is actually a really bad idea. The cars are a pain with TLoS. My way is a lot better.

Also, surely John Blanche has never made a bad drawing?

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

John Blanche is the only bright light in the darkness of GW's current regime of idiocy. I vote for 4th edition.

this poll is hysterical. Not only is John Blanche awesome(I love his style and imagery) but from my experience TFG and power gamer is usually the casual gamer and only rarely the tourney player.

Also, what are we voting on?

Methinks your polling questions are stupid. Shouldn't they be more like "pro balance" or something? (Though not in a way that makes it sound like an abortion discussion.)

No! Lies! Casual gamers are paragons of humility, fairness and sportsmanships. They have shining halos above their heads and are given lisences to castigate and humiliate the hideous malformed sub-human class of 'tournament gamer' that sadly make up a whopping 5% of the population (if their Lord & Master Jervis Johnson is to be believed).

We should all bow before the might of the Casual Gamer, bask in their radiant light, and aspire to be like them in every way.

And remember the wise words of Yoda:

"Balance, playtesting - a casual gamer craves not these things!" - Yoda, a casual gamer.

I think they're an intentional joke. Most people have got that so far.

Seems to be the gaming equivalent of one at this website.

John Blanche ain't so hot. Open your eyes, the new art is much better.
But we should play the game my way, because no self respecting irishman ever says "highway" unless they're singing "You take the high way, and I'll take the low way".

John Blanche is the very spirit of Warhammer 40,000! He illustrates the madness of the brutal age of war that is the 41st Millennium.

I always thought he was a bit naff to be honest. Though his conversions were good.
Give me Bill King's fiction for the soul of 40K over Blanche's art any day. Though it's down to taste, of course.
But comparing the art in the new ork codex to the art in the second edition one leaves me firmly in the "Thank God Blanche doesn't do all the art anymore" camp.

hell no, i intend to send the results of this poll to Jervis for inclusion in Standard bearer.

I must admit surprise at the unpopularity of the 'Highway' option though

With the recent WD price increase more people will read the poll here than in the standard bearer.

People who don't play exactly as I want should be thrown under a bus.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
