The last effect of Epidemius's special rules is that models' attacks ignore armor saves. This does not specify close combat attacks, just attacks. Does this mean that ranged attacks (such as deamon princes or Plague marines bolters) would ignore saves as well?

If you're mixing Epidemius and Plague marines, then your playing Apocalypse. At this point, you're taking rules designed for a smaller game, and applying them to the larger version. Read the first part of the Apocalypse book. The answer to this question is something your opponent/opponents and you should work out ahead of time.

THis doesn't have to be an Apocalypse battle. As Epidemius affects friends or foes it could simply be a game involving Chaos Marines and Chaos Deamons. Even if it's not the Deamon Prince issue is still valid.

If you could be more specific in the rules wording it would help, but it sounds similar to the situation with prince yriel's spear which is a singing spear (which means it can be used both in melee or as a throwing weapon) which "ignores armour saves" that's all it says, I personally felt that it would include the ranged attack, RAW it definitely seemed that way to me.
When I e-mailed the new rules support system they also shared the view that yriel's spear would ignore armour saves on ranged attacks, if epidemius' wording is the same I see no particular reason that it wouldn't work on ranged attacks.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Of course it includes ranged attacks. Nothing indicates otherwise.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"... |

It says "all attacks ignore armor saves". which tells me ANY attacks negate armor.

I assumed it was part of the same discussion as your other post:
Here is the deal. I have a friend that hasn't played 40k since early 4th edition. He is just now getting back into the swing of things and is interested in a mega-battle the local shop is having. He once had a fairly sizeable Nurgle army, and has accepted that his deamons and Marines are not two separte armies. Certain aspects he even likes about it, such as The Epididimus will effect Plague marines in a mega-battle setting
Now, I was thinking of making my friend a Plague tower. Do you think that a Plague tower would count as a "Nurgle alligned model" for the purposes of Epididimus's special rules
Rather than trying to build a concensus of people on Dakka, by posting in several threads, why not talk to the guy organizing the megabattle?

Attacks occur in the Assault Phase. Nowhere in the shooting phase is their anything related to 'attacks'. Models fire shots in the shooting phase. As an example of the difference in terms used, here is an exerpt from the Assault section, page 34
Attacks in close combat work like shots in shooting
I would say no, shooting is not affected by the tally.

You are incorrect.
The rulebook repeatedly mentions ranged or shooting attacks.
I can give you at least 10 quotes if you really need them.
