yeah,
I've had a xbox 360 since it first came out, and i'm very happy with it. we also have a Wii which is a contrast type console...
So i figured we didn't need a PS3...

But i've finally gave into the number of PS3 exclusive games that i want to play...
I bought a 80gb PS3 with
motor storm pacific
little big planet
mirror's edge
metalgearsolid4 i've wanted to play this for some time...
a extra controller
and a HDMI cable (honestly... a HD console that doesn't include the HD cables....?)
£404
---Good or bad price???

the guy in the store gave me free insurance for 2 years... £27.99? ( i don't need it i have home contents insurance)
but he said even if it's my fault, like i hit it with a brick they will exchange it for a new one.... which is cool should i ever get really angry at a game...

once i play these i think next on the to do list is
fall of mankind
haze....

So what else should i play?

anyways I've got work to do before i unpack and play... I'm very excited!

Panic....

That's a good price for the number of games. They are all good games too. Most bundle deals include a load of rubbish. Mirror's Edge and LBP are brand new.

I hate games that install to the HD.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

SHUN THE CONSOLE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SHUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! Too many buttons. If it can't be done with a mouse and the number keys, it shouldn't be done. I'm holding out hope for a neural interface gaming system in my lifetime. (And hoping medicare or SSI will pay for it, because I'll be that old...)

I think you've got that very backwards my friend. . .console games tend to use much less buttons than PC games. But I'm with on that neural interface though. That and I dearly hope they create cars that drive themselves before I get too old and feeble to drive properly.

But back on topic. . .

I did want to mention that Mirror's edge is not a PS3 exclusive and that HAZE has gotten pretty much universally gotten mediocre reviews. I think you're probably just better off waiting until Feb to get Killzone 2 instead.

Well, you already have the 2 interesting exclusives...I guess you could wait Naughty Dog to announce Jak 4, besides that, I can't think of any interesting titles you coulnd't also play on the 360...

Mirror's Edge is very good -- as said it isn't an exclusive.

Resistance FoM 2 is looking very good. It has huge multiplayer and team/squad modes.

Killzone 2 is looking good though they haven't got the balance of the character classes worked out properly yet. The worry is if they don't get the balance right. I don't remember the release date. As long as it is about March 09 they have time to polish the gameplay.

damn good price for what you got, shame they made you pay £30 for insurance, just out of curiosity was it not an extended warranty on the console itself breaking down not you karate chopping the disc tray off or something?

I have a friend who after being through 3 Xbox 360's just gave up and decided to get a PS3 instead and apart from such things as the installing times (we sat for 30mins for Mercs 2 to install) its a much better console and it won't break or get the Red Ring of Death, my only reasoning for wanting one is MGS4, as now FF13 is not a PS3 exclusive it seems silly to fork out that much money for one game, still good purchase

When you give total control to a computer, it’s only a matter of time before it pulls a Skynet on you and you’re running for your life.
