Subject: Help against Nurgle MArines

There is this Nurgle Marine player that keeps winning all his games and I want to play him. I really have no idea what he puts in his army or how Nurgle Marines even work. I do not know what to look out for or what to expect. All I know is that he wins alot of his games.
I play Nids and I have a huge army so I could field almost anything. So what I need are some ideas as to what to expect and how to deal with it. I would love to go into this game knowing I have a shot at winning.
Thanks!

Nurgle stuff should be a pretty good matchup for your nidz. Barbed stranglers or MCs in close combat make short work of most of them.
Or is he running anything other?
If its a double lash, obliterators and the rest nurgle its alot harder.

Nurgle marines are T(4)5 and usually sporting FNP. Effective builds back them up with Oblits and dual Lash (though Nurgle DP with Warptime-reroll misses and failed wounds is pretty spiff, too).
Nurgle marines hate high strength things that ignore AS and cause instant death (no FNP). Plasma, Pfists, Monstrous creatures, etc.

Well i know on Canifexs you can have a large blast ap 3 str 8 weapon i think, take alot of MC and high str weapons, and well try to swarm a Lord/DP/sorceror in close combat, so they cant use pyshic powers etc.

I run nurgle marines but at smaller games. Here is the deal with them. They are very tough to small arms but they don't bite very hard. Due to their high point cost they come in smaller squads.
I don't have many games versus tyranids but I think infiltrating genestealers w broodlord may help out.
Don't underestimate the deamon prince! It can be dangerious to your big guys. Try to drop some wounds of it before engaging in CC.
I would recomend shadow in the warp so he can fail psychic tests. However if he does not run any lash of submissions then disregard this.

Never was, never will be.
A lash prince is definently the best prince, but if you wanna run nurgle they are ok. Nurgles rot however is not, bring warptime or wind of chaos.

yeah,
Agreed Nurgles rot is fluffy.... and that's it!
If he's running a All Nurgle force with MoN DPs and winning he'll most likely have have warptime, Wind of chaos or gift...
Lots of attacks! everything is good in numbers... because every thing dies when you hit it enough!
And having lots of powerwepons and S8+ weapons guts the heart out of a nurgle force.
Panic..

I'd run several Genestealer broods. Their rending attacks eventually make short work with Plague Marines.
