Even if I have tons of respect for Frank Miller (especially after I read Sin City after the movie came out), I wouldn't even think of seeing The Spirit. It's not that the transition from graphic novel to movie looks bad, it's just not my kind of movie. At least, it doesn't look like something I'd like at all.

I've seen the trailers and such. I don't think it will be very good. I wouldn't go see it, even if I were Jewish.
Edit: I was just thinking that sounded racist. I have a few Jewish friends who go out and eat Chinese food and go out to movies on Christmas as a tradition. That's what I was talking about.

Add a good amount of tequila and even Battlefield earth is watchable,so yeah spirits to watch Spirit may be the way to go.
At least Samuel L. Jackson should be entertaining.

I wasn't sure about when I saw the first footage, but now I'm really looking forward to it.
Altough from what I've heard, except the names, there's not so much stuff from the comics in it. Which on the other hand may be a good thing.

A buddy of mine was really talking up the comics/movie about three months ago. So I say "Great, I'll check out the comics", ummmmm yeah, I'm going to pass on the movie and never speak of the comics again.
