Nothing weird, it is just the Scarface box but... look at the sectorial logo.

It's a bit similar to Qapu Khalqi, but it's not the same. Do you know what it is?

Man the Scarface artwork gives me a massive Evangelion vibe.

The pilot looks really bad, certainly not the usual high standard for Infinity females

She's not the pilot, she is the pilot's sister (and engineer).

Story details like that aside, I have to agree - the model is a bit of a letdown in terms of 'Giraffe Neck' and such.

Recent standard. Infinity have their share of early duff looking female sculpts.
A head swap would fix most of the problems with Cordelia I think.

While I agree the face is a little out of proportion, I still think she looks a lot better then average female models out there. Hell, at least she looks like a girl lol.

Our standard of judging Infinity miniatures is leagues above judging other companies' miniatures.

I don't think so. Dopey looking model is dopey looking.
Let's not make this a "but X sculpted a girl that's at least three times as weird looking!" debate.
She has a funny face/head/neck. Ho hum.

Her pose not that great either. And I'm not talking about the awkward V sign.

I prefer to think that she's half way through doing the "I've got my eye on you" sequence. That's a little less "kawaii" anyway.

Eh, I rather like Cordelia. I'll definitely be grabbing them to use in a Qapu Kalki force.

I hope the Haqqislam SpecOps model comes with an optional loose pistol. I'd love to replace Cordelia's "sUpAkawaii^_^" hand with a pistol.

Yes, the sectorial logo is highly interesting.

Definitely not Quapu Khali?

White stars maybe?

No, thats a peace sign. The one your thinking of is like the devil hand sign with the thumb out to the side and only the pinky up. But, I love the fact she throwing a peace sign with a death machine standing right behind her.

It makes me think of that old b-movie "I Come In Peace". Were the alien keeps say i come in peace as he butchers the drug dealers.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

Yeah I can't say I like that pose either. I think a lot of sculptors find women hard to get right, though Corvus certainly do better than most.

Is it my imagination but is the body not the same proportion to the rest of the model?

hopefully I'm getting better.

The proportions appear very funky to say the least.

While most of their figs have an anime feel to them, this one looks too anime. Like anime for little kids.

On the other hand, it may become the new Daktari.
Admittedly the "sUpAkawaii=^_^=" hand symbol is more tolerable than a catgirl.

Yes and no.

It was the sign displayed by Churchill and deGaulle after visiting Japan signifying a victory (V for victory). They have been doing so for years prior.
Ironically, the Japanese youth eventually took this sign as a cutesy thing to do in photographs after seeing the way the British and Americans acted during the occupation. Naturally, anime characters flash this sign as well because they oftentimes feature young protagonists.

Unrelatedly, the American hippies took the sign to mean peace as a counterculture to the more aggressive "V = victory" V-signs flashed by Nixon and the like.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Some of us actually like the 1st catgirl remember! It's sometimes nice to paint a model that isn't all screaming and hell-raising, although I admit there are many other models in the Infinity range that also fill that void.

I'm probably going to use the Valerya model below with Scarface (along with a re-posturing of the TAG's arms)

Good to have a use for the Valerya model. I love that model and I'm looking for a reason to buy and paint her myself.

Seconded!

Thank you Pacific for reminding me of the earlier version of Valerya!

I don't think that the Cordelia model is that bad - the face is a touch too large, but a paintjob that didn't make her skin so opposed in colour to her clothes might disguise that.

I love the TAG, however, and am even now trying to imagine how it'd look in my squad's dark red and brown scheme...

That is all!

Particularly like.. well, all of them! But, the Nomad and Ariadna ones especially. Pretty neat option having the changeable heads.

Everything looks great. Unfortunately, I was expecting a bare head for the Haqqislam one: guess I can get the Yu Jing one and do some head swaps (then use the Yu Jing SpecOp as an infiltrator token when fightig Yu Jing). I like the ALEPH one the best, though.

Weapon packs = must purchase all!

Well, yes, I was probably going to buy them all anyway...but this is nice!

Hopefully we're one step closer to CB actually making weapon packs themselves available separately...

Dare to dream!

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Yes it will be awesome!

Although at the same time it is a very difficult task to accomplish. Having multi-part kits I think can impact negatively on the look of a miniature, in that the sculptor has to take account of the different variations possible, rather than just making a miniature that works well symbiotically/holistically in terms of the overall aesthetic of the miniature.

Obviously things like head and weapon swaps are more straightforward, but even the latter might have some problems. Imagine the Morat above with a massive HMG in his hand rather than a pistol for instance.
