I just finished some terrain so it's time to take some pics!

This shot was actually taken before I finished painting them.

I've got a few more pieces to finish, so I'll put them in here when they're done.

Wow that is great! I take it that is the forge world stuff. Nice and simple for max effectiveness. I need to spend more time on my table. I spend to much time on the models. Nice work. Can't wait till I can get to mine. Probably use yours as inspiration.

Actually, they are a mixture of the Pegasus gothic terrain sets and the GW COD pieces.

I wish I could afford those Forgeworld ones. Those are sweet!

Excellent work. The Pegasus and the GW stuff work well together and you have based them very well, great stuff.

How does the Pegasus stuff work with the CoD terrain? Obviously it looks great, but do you have to do anything special to make them go together properly (especially with multi-levels and floors) or is it really straightforward.

They work really well together, but there are some slight modifications that must be made to get them to fit together. The beauty of the GW pieces is that they will fit into any spot that has a right angle. So all I did was cut the top of the little pillars off of the Pegasus parts so that the GW floor plates would fit in flush.

Then, the GW walls can be attached to the top of those and will fit flush with the top of the Pegasus walls.

The other way to go is to just put a flat piece right on top of the Pegasus pieces (after cutting the connecting pegs off) and just attach the GW walls right to that. I used the thin press board stuff that Ikea uses for the back of their shelves but thick styrene or any other flat piece would work.

As far as height goes the GW pieces are just a little shorter, but they just fit under the top bevel dealy on the pillars of the Pegasus pieces. So cutting the pillars so that they are flush on that side except for the very top makes the GW walls fit in perfectly. Then, all that neds to be added is a little spacer to make it the same height.

It has been suggested that I write an article so maybe I'll do that as soon as I figure out what that actually entails.

I like the use of Imperial Guard as "scenery". It creates the impression that the battle is much larger. Think I'll do something similar with my spare Guard models.

Thanks again for all of the kind words! I'm working on that article, but it's kind of tough since I don't have a fully functioning brain.

1. Do so. It'll be really useful.
2. Speak to Malfred or insaniak about the article system. They're the guys that run it (among a few others) so they'll get you started.

Sorry, I know this one's over a week old!

After fussing around for a while I finally just jumped in and started the article. Thanks for the push H.B.M.C., and thanks for the help Malfred! Oh, and sorry to Legoburner if you get alerts every time an edit is made. I think I just made like 50 edits in about 20 minutes.

Now that I've got the hang of it I'll add some more stuff to that article pretty quickly though. For now though my narcissism has been satisfied.
