So it would sort of be a tie.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

And if a guardsman can potentially kill a marine, I'm sure an empire soldier could.

Doesn't our current 'armour' repel arrows though? And even if it doesn't, the guards would just stand out of arrow range and blast seven bells of kaplop out of a WHFB army with big ass guns!

Yeah.
Plus, you know, Fantasy's magic can't instantly destroy all of the swords and catapults on the battlefield, so it's obviously not that powerful.
If Fantasy's magic was powerful enough to make 40k technology obsolete, there would be nothing but wizards in the game.
This is really no contest; 40k is Warhammer Fantasy, with guns, and 10,000,000 times the scale.

lmao but, I must point out that Dwarves are built very similer to Space Marines but shorter, so... Plus, remember the Ewoks!!! By that logic: A sizable group of fat, slow and clumsy Gutter Runners could take down a Chapter of Space Marines!

"What if you took a 40k army with its stats, tanks, saves, ranges and any special rules that would fit into a game of fantasy?"
Take fluff out of it for a second. Try to cross the rules as much as possible. Basically play fantasy with as many 40k rules that would fit but still keeping it fantasy. Basically change any 40k rules to fit into fantasy. I say this way as fantasy would not cross over as well into 40k rules as well IMHO.
Examples: Nearly all 40k units would probably count as skirmisher's. All 40k models could count as 2 models per wound for outnumbering. All 40k armor counts as a ward saves. Feel no pain and invul's count as a regeneration save but at the appropriate save number : example termies would have a 5+ regen save but fire does nothing special. All 40k models count as 2x point level, just for equality sake. As there is no comparing pts from 2 games.
Now , who would win? 40k I'm sure with its abundance of shooting, but at least this makes it interesting. Thoughts?

I like it! All skirmishers with ranged weapons. I want to see the look on the Brettonian General's face when he meets the horde of Greenskins firing off thunder sticks and skirmishing, not to mention their beast of burdenless war carraiges! Ah, good times!
Oh, I think there would have to be some sort of armor adjustment considering 40k armor is designed to help defend against bullets and such...

Another point to remember. You also have to take into account the mental confusion  of both sides being thrust into situations so forign from their own. While the more advanced 40k army is going over mounds of data from thier last hyperspace jump (or equivelant)  the fantasy warriors, being the savage supersticious people they are will just assume that they are all possesed by some crazy demon/warpstone and wade into the fray hacking and slasking.
