A beautiful model, and one that I'm sure is built with Bandai's regular attention to detail. Wish I had the moolah to buy one.

Sweet, 2 main guns is kind of silly, but ok.
GW take note, a tank with Boagies!
Love to build one, 9000 yen is about $98.88 USD; €74.09 Euros
That's not so bad, isn't that about what a Baneblade costs, about anyway? $80 right?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |

Yeah, the price isn't horrible, though you have to factor in the shipping cost, plus any possible import fees (I know you may have to pay some if you order Japan-to-Finland)

That tank fits into 40k better, with no suspension. Heh, and tracks that are not under the armor...
Also sweet.

That model has been out before. I read a work through blog by a guy. It's a great fun model though rather small to make a good superheavy for 40K.

Just a one-off concept as far as I know. The full crew is about 20 piggies including a cook.

Semovente is the name of some Italian WW2 tanks. Bandai just used it because foreign names sound cool.

IIRC, it has two barrels for rapid succession of fire without correcting aim so that it can hit a Mobile Suit and damage the armor with the first shot followed closely by a second shot to take the Suit down by damaging systems exposed by the damaged armor. I'd have to find my One Year War Technical Manuals to be absolutely sure, though.

I love HLJ, I check there for random stuff all the time and used to buy tons when I was into Gundam.
You don't have to pay any "fees" other than shipping and that is pretty reasonable, less then UK to US in my experience, and still fast. Don 't be afraid of ordering from them, I was at first but I got what I ordered in less than 2 weeks and didn't pay for any more than the "basic shipping".

Paul Atreides wrote:Double naval guns on a tank. Paul does not approve. They're not naval guns. They're dual 150mm cannons and a 12.7mm machine gun, as well as eight smoke dispensers. In contrast Mobile Suits tend to carry anywhere from 105 to 130mm Machine guns as well as heavier 175mm Cannons.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is an AWESOME kit. But I have to say, 2 guns, so one can damage the... and then!...
Why not just mount one biger one that can get the job done? I blame mechwarrior for multiweapon syndrome most of the time!
Then again, I'm a big fan of a game where power swords are better than guns...
OK, I'm not really going to keep making this case anymore.
2 guns FTW!

If you take a look further down the thread at some of the conceptual art, doesn't it look a bit like a Shadowsword?
I mean that gun looks killy enough to be a Volcano Cannon.

It's been a while since this thread was started and I was wondering how this model looks compared to the Baneblade and Land Raider. Hopefully someone has grabbed one of these already and put it together (glances at Kid). The reason I ask is that I'm mulling over the idea of using this as a chassis for a Marine superheavy.
Sorry for the necro, but I thought it'd be better than starting another thread on the same topic just to ask a question.

To hell with it, I went ahead and ordered one. I'm planning on replacing the two guns with the Stormlord's Vulcan Mega Bolter and will think about ways to put LR Lascannon sponsons on it. Maybe I'll even mount a techmarine gunner in the turret or something. I'm doing this because I want to see if this would make a good SM SHT and because I think the VMB just looks really cool.
I'll post pics in the modelling forum once it arrives.
