This thing is genius -- I can't believe how I never noticed it before!

Just mix with water, and it works just like a thick paste. You can sculpt it into hills, re sculpt bases, and even more fun, cast blocks of pseudo-concrete with it!

Smashing them up makes perfect realistic scatter-rubble. They weather brilliantly, and paint using only the lightest stain of watered down paint to your preference. You'll probably find some in the Garage.

Have fun.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Could you post pics of your fully painted up polyfiller? I may have to try this!

I've experimented with it, and it has it's uses, but it has a few weaknesses as well:

- vulnerable to water; ALWAYS varnish it!
- very brittle; ity'll chip easily
- always looks grainy. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to remember.

In the end, it a kind of plaster; treat it like that and you'll do fine. And post some pics!

i think if you add a bit of pva in the mix it becomes tougher.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I'll try that. The point I made it for was simply fun and using it as a bit of filler for bases that needed it. I have yet to use it with PVA.

It's sticky enough already... but I'll give it a go it I want some small craters/hills etc. You have to apply it in layers, like with GS, or you'll get an inane weakness where the inside hasn't dried. That hasn't hindered me much, as I managed to smash a huge block, then just cure it (for want of a better word) on a radiator, to dry it all out. It's great for scenic bases, and just general use. I used it with some LEGO to make a rudimentary mould, but I've found that old paint tiles work well, especially with square holes.

It's just made me want to build a huge city! Damnit.
