Believe it or not, most of the people in my school's club thought it said "Hershey". First off, they stared at the title for a good ten minutes, and none of them have lysdexia. WTF? Now on to buisness. I just got it from Overstock for around 38 bucks. First off, don't play this game until you've read the rules through about a dozen times and have played against yourself. Otherwise, it won't turn out well. Second off, pick it up, if only for some nice backround material (thanks belphegor).

And thirdly, be prepared to have a good deal of trouble at first, especially regarding people's movement actions.

And for funsies, this is my character.

Jericho Leons. Assassin, rank Sell-Steel, Lasgun, Hunting Rifle, Knife, Sword. My dad wants me to make him a guardsmen profile, so when that's done, I'll post it.
A good idea, but by no means nessecary, is to buy the Game Master's Kit. It's got new rules on poisons, 2 pre-generated enemies, 1 campaign, and a screen with ranges, ROF"s and other stuff about the rules.
To properly play the game, you should pick up at lest 4 10 sided dice. That's all for now, and I hope to play a few matches with some of you eventually.

Yup, it's wicked fun. The campaign supplement (Purge the Unclean) is pretty darned good, too.

Alles klar, eh, Kommissar?

Busy somewhere, airin' out the skin jobs.

60 bucks for the rulebook is keeping me away for now.

Like i said, from Overstock.com it's around 37 bucks, and it's well worth it. Amazon's got some, bnut there a bit pricier with shipping and stuff.

One of the best reasons to pick this up is that the future for the game looks really bright. Fantasy Flight seems to have really gotten behind this game, with lots of new releases coming out in 09, including a full adventure campaign. Usually, some of these kind of hard-to-get-into games are easier to run if you if you play a published module to begin with. I'm certainly looking forward to picking them up.

I'm looking forward to the Monster Manual type book, I already preordered it.

I doubt I'll ever play it, if I did I'd convert over to the tried and tested West End Games D6 system but it is an attractive book.

I LOVE Dark Heresy.

I've been playing RPG much longer than miniature games, and I have to say DH is definitely one of the better ones out there.

It's a brutal game where when the guns come out people die. Though it is a very solid system. My only complaint is the way close combat works, it's kinda clunky, but that just imo

We are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend. We cannot afford mercy for any of its victims too weak to take the correct course. Mercy destroys us; it weakens us and saps our resolve. Put aside all such thoughts. They are not worthy of Inquisitors in the service of Our Emperor. Praise his name for in our resolve we only reflect his purpose of will.

Bunch of my friends invested in this, and they seem to see it as the best Roleplay system out there.

Probably worth giving it a try in it's current incarnation first.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

I'm looking forward to starting a Dark Heresy campaign with my group. Just have to re-read the rulebook again. I've got the screen, heaps of D10's now, and the first three major books. I'll wait for the creature book first, then get started.

System on the whole is good. One piece of advice I would offer, is to modify the Awareness?per tests as they suggest in the Handbook. Basically let them make PER tests instead of Awareness tests, with possession of said talent lowering the difficultly threshold.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
