that's 60 ws 4, str 4 attacks that re-roll to wound and allow no armour saves when they charge.

Abaddon can join them aswell just to give them a bit of a punch.

true, that is indeed stacked. A very very powerful unit. The only problem is that this unit,(not counting abaddon) is 500 points. Also, chaos terminators with Mok are only WS 4. The problem with this unit, is that it cant ride in a LR, so it has to march up the filed and get shot up on the way. Even if it deepstrikes, that is alot of models to place, and it will still get shot up. Basically, even if it doesnt ever get shot, it is not cost effective.

i use them as a powerful counter unit that deepstrikes near a personal icon so they can get into battle without worry of scattering. plus they can get almost straight into close range combat.

Eh, if it works for you, but I for one would be happy if my opponent brought that to the table in a competitive game, because it really is quite easy to deal with.

Chaos terminators can't have storm shields, so they're not as well protected as marine terminators.

Chaos terminators are not nobs, you can't get FNP with multiple wounds and bizaare setups to abuse wound allocations.

Chaos terminators don't do the same thing as those other "power" units, and are best used as support and annoyance units, not as "hammer" units.

How about two units of five, transported in land raiders? That way they have some firepower to whittle down whatever unit they plan to assault, and will be pretty well protected? Now that this arrangement has come to mind, I just might have to try it myself.

don't count out the fact abbadons in that squad though. He alone can almost solo the night bringer (no joke he almost did)

yes but if you wittle down the unit he will go down a lot easier, i look forward to trying to kill a unit like this.

Eh, shoota boyz can do pretty good damage to this kind of unit, and just dance out of range because they've got 18" guns. GW was smoking crack when they gave shoota boyz 18" guns... seriously.

Yes its a strong unit in HtH.
BUT its Sucks unless your extremely lucky, or your oponent is dumb enough to let you get within charge range..
they are good in HtH, but suck at getting there and are usless otherwise..
I wuldnt use them ever.. unless i was p;aing a 1' x 1' table

I would go for the Mark of Tzeentch to make the unit much more effective. A few les attacks but more guys will actually live to fight.

i suppose its what ur against because if it doesn't pierce your armour go for the extra attack, if the army has a lot of Low Ap weapons go for the 4+ sv

I'd personally rather see them with the Mark of Nurgle to make the turn after they deepstrike more bearable

mark of tzeentch will make the turn they appear less dangerous. or i could stick with the 2 land raiders.

Anything with the AP to punch the Termy armor will also ignore the T5

each Termy lost is 4 less attacks with the MoK. So dieing 2/3 of the time vs. low AP eats away at those attacks very quickly. You only have to lose 3 Termies to make up for the loss of your 10 attacks.

Losing only 3 attacks for each casualty and only losing 1/2 of the time vs low AP works out better.

I would also throw in a few Chain/Power fists in there, otherwise one Defiler/Wraithlord/Dreadnought would ruin this squad quickly!

Lord of change with: we are legion, breath of chaos, boon of mutation.

each turn you get hit by:

template weapon that wounds on a 4+ with no saves.
24" S5 assult 3 shots.
24" S8 AP1 shot.
boon - roll to hit, you make a T test, if you fail the model becomes a spawn (no saves allowed)

not only those, but i can then charge in if needed with 3 S6 attacks from a MC.

failing that im happy to throw 2 thirsters at the unit and laugh.

Mark of Tzeentch really isn't work the points you pay for it, as 4+ invulnerable really isn't that much better than 5+. Mark of Nurgle, on the other hand, means that all those bolters from the same squad as that plasma gun hurt a lot less.

Yes but if there in a land raider i would worry about them shooting. In close sombat lightning claws will kill anything i really high strength as they will usually strike last.

point well taken may have a couple of chain fists. but i'll decide that when i know who i'm battling.
