Since the other Open Studio thread is filled with Guard talk only, I thought I'd make another thread for some new stuff in case someone hasn't seen them yet.
Can anyone tell me what that Ork model behind the pathfinders is supposed to be?

I'm pretty sure these are test models made by new sculptors that were told to try to match the style of GW models. I don't expect them to be released; the tau stuff at least has been seen before.

The Land Speeder Storm isn't a 'test' model.

We know the Tau stuff is, but we know nothing about the rest.

he has a squig, so its HQ, and a mek banner, so i assume its a big mek.

Doesn't mean it won't be released. That seems to be the main driving force behind the Collectors Range....

Buggy is possible, but I would suspect conversion.

That land speeder looks rad.

Also whats with that tau suit? It looks like the right thigh is held on by rope or something. There looks to be something similar on its blade too.

im not sure doc, its the only wheeled ork vehicle thats yet to be updated, so it is a possibility.
with any luck they make a new buggy / trakk kit

If GW are going to be true to their word ( ), shouldn't we believe that the Flashgitz HAVE to be coming out...sometime?

That is a fugly battlesuit.

But now people might actually be tempted to use flash gitz.

And nobody wants to see that. Well, except the guy on the other side of the table.

All of that looks great except the broodlord. I'm not quite sure how, but it's worse than the old one. And thats a feat.

The pathfinders look really good. The battlesuit just looks like a converted Farsight model.

I love the mek with the attack squig. The grot base was entertaining but I don't see what role it would play in the game.

The bald marine bored me.

The Broodlord model was nice.

I'm going to go with Runt Herder. Looks like he's got his squighound + grabber stick. It could be an HQ, but looks a bit weedy for that, and the attack squigs are a bit smaller....

What do you mean!!! The old broodlord kicks ass! I love that pose, its like he is screaming in alien or somethign. As for the other stuff, would love to see that tau stuff come out.

Those new model greens look great. Nice to be out with the old and in with the new. (3rd Ed - it was not pretty)

The marine may be but the Broodlord IIRC was sculpted by Mark Harrison who is a established sculptor already so it may still be a test model or a slightly revised version.
The Flash Git I understand is a one off collectors edition as are the ammo runts.

The Battlesuit is a revised Commander Farsight which along with the pathfinders were also 'test' models but as they are both better than the originals they should hopefully be released at some point. They were both shown at this years UKGD.

The Mek with the attack Squig is a conversion done by Matt Holland:

I actually like the Marine. He may be bald, but he's not screaming and pointing, so it's a nice change of pace. That and he's wearing a nice mix of different marks of power armor, and it doesn't look like he broke his hips to put it on.

And the base of what I take to be snotlings (too small for grots?) is awesome! I'd buy that just to paint up into a diaorama of some kind.

Love the path finders, like the Farsight, adore the Landspeeder. Hope some of these get released!

If they release that mini I will finally paint the pile of Genestealers I've had sitting around forever.

Rather have a BL in a 'hug' pose then not, at least it looks better than the current one.

the big mek is a kunversion that is a burna.

The broodlord looks like a baby genesteller (don't get fluffy with me!) trying to shout at something.
