Very well done, you (unlike myself) have mastered inking.

I know it's a Khorne model and all that, but a little more variation in colour would really help a lot. You could paint the wings brown and work a bit more on the armor. He's just a little too red.

Also, Skarbrand doesn't have wings.

They got knacked when Khorne threw him away like a used tissue.

Well then prehaps it's a pre-toss Skarbrand. Really, with GW's attitude toward the fluff as being disposable/mutable, I don't see where we should have to stick to it religiously.

I second this.
Overall colors are to pale (same red).
even weapons and bone look are a little off, the fur on his back could have a drybrush for more ash effect.
Your deffinatly on the good way.

No matter what you use him as, he's still a very well painted miniature, so good job.

He actually does have wings. As an avid 40k daemon player, I've scoured my codex and read over it many times. Skarbrand does have wings, they just aren't operational, and are tattered and broken. So... if Toymaker wanted to (I sure as hell wouldn't want to) he could take a clipper to the wings and knack them up a bit to make them look more defunct.

Well, Angrath's wings are huge to begin with, so by using the balrog wings, they are noticeably smaller, so maybe that's how they decided to depict Skarbrand's damaged wings.
