After looking at the P.A.C.K. 432 I have a question. Is there enough room in the outside pockets to fit rulebooks (e.g. the 40k rulebook and a codex)? It looks like it'd pretty tight.

The front panel of the 432 is actually a huge pocket. The area that has the company logo is a velcro flap that can be lifted to allow for the large rule book and 2 codex.
Hope that helps.

Hmmmm,
So the PACK 432 hold the trays on end for transport. I've always been very skeptical of bags that transport minis this way.
Romeo, I assume you've done plenty of testing with trays standing on end like this?
It seems like if your models were all laying sideways on a thin-ish tray this would be fine as they'd essentially be standing 'upright' when put into the case (if you made sure they're all facing the right way before putting the tray in), but if you had models that have their bases go directly into the tray, when the tray was tipped upright they'd then have their extremities constantly pressing against the foam, which would seem like an issue to me.
Have you had any issues with this during testing?

Very good question, and one we really took a hard look at before designing the smaller bag.
What we found in testing was the models did not have problems because of the following reasons.
1. Our trays are cut much tighter and closer to the models and this keeps them snug yet still leaves room to breath.
2. Since 6 inches of trays fit perfect inside the bag, the models do not have room to fall out or jump around the inside.
3. We include 5 free toppers with the purchase of the 432 just in case you need spacers to keep things even more snug.
4. I tested this bag with my fantasy Vampire Counts army. My ghouls, zombies, and skelies all have little brittle point parts. Not one of them has broken a thing in the month we have been lugging this thing around.
I guess if you try hard enough, anything is possible, but I don't see anyones minis being in any more danger than lets say a GW plastic case. With our custom cut foam you should rarely see any issues come up.
Hope that helps.

Pre Filled with Army Specific Load Out means the following.
Lets say you are a Space Marine player. We already have pre cut designs with the most popular Space Marine load outs.
If you got P.A.C.K. 432 with the Pre Filled Load Out in Space Marines you would get the following.
1x 1" Troop tray that will hold 60 Tactical Marines, and 12 Devastators
1x 2" Tray that will hold 20 Termies, 10 Assault Marines, 6 Marine Bikes, 3 Scout Bikes, 1 Assault Bike
1x 3" Tray that will hold 2 Rhinos, 2 Dreads, 1 Predator, and 1 Vindicator.
That would be an example of a Pre Filled Army Specific Load Out. Each Army will have some kind of kit like this to take the guess work out of buying foam. All the shapes will be pre measured to fit the items they are made for, and the only thing the customer needs to do is tell us what text they would like on the bottoms.
Hope that helps.

Tek - All the load outs will be up on the site within the next 3 weeks. We are still designing some so I can't tell you much more. We are using our local gamers to help us pick the most popular set ups.
Hellfury - Since our trays will be bigger and hold more items (72 troops per) the price is higher. 1" will be $20.00, 2" $22.00, 3, and 4" $24.00 and 5,6 " $29.00 each. All custom trays will be $32.00 each regardless of size.
Lord_blackfang - P.A.C.K. 432 is 16W x 12H x 7.5D. P.A.C.K. 1520 is 16W x 22H x 12D.
Jep'ray - The 432 can hold 2 of the 3" trays and each tray can hold 5 Leman Russ each or 6 Chimera. That would allow you to take 10 Lemans or 12 Chimera in the same size case as the GW small hard case. The 1520 can hold 7 of the 3" trays so that means 35 Lemans or 42 Chimera. Do you really have that many tanks? Wow!
Le Grognard - Good things come to those who wait and not hold grudges. I never really disliked anyone on Dakka. I was just taken back by the reaction some members had to my first post. I hope those few that thought those evil things see that I never meant any harm and just wanted to help all of us gamers.
Thanks guys,
Please ask away. I'll do my best to post answers every few hours. A video review will be up later tonight or tomorrow.
Romeo

Hmmm...
For the Russ counts... does that include dozer blades on the front?
I am very interested in your larger bag if it could hold the following:
3x Hellhound
12x Leman Russ
3x Chimera
3x Basilisk
4x Baneblade (Baneblade, Hellhammer, Stormblade, Stormlord)
That is currently my armor division and I can guarantee one sale if they could hold that.

HungryTaz - Here I thought you had a really difficult project to handle. Just kidding, but this army is a snap in the 1520. You will be able to fit two Baneblades side by side in one foam 5" tray. You'll need two of those and that only takes up 10.5 inches of your available 22 inches. That leaves you with 10+ inches of foam for all your other tanks. If you wanted this kit out, all you need to do is call us anytime after March 1st and we'll begin the project.
Your total would be $275.00 since it is a custom full load out, but you'll have everything you need in one space.
Hope this helps.

Fantastic looking bags. I have a Sabol bag, a Bolter and Chainword Bag, and recently got an Orky Waaaagh Bag. I am sorely tempted to get the big one for my Guard. Lots of room for lots of guardsmen. I would get another for my Orks if I did not have a new one in Speed Freeks red with Orky Glyph. Still might given the size of my Waaagh.

A bit pricey, but nice looking stuff.
The big one needs to be upgraded to have a shoulder strap. The thing's too big to be reasonably carried with that handle when full, and most ... well, MANY... adults have no desire to wear a backpack... especially one that's as big as their torso (or bigger).

The reason that the large bag does not have a strap is because it is a two part setup. The strap can not work for a two part system because once the bags are unzipped and taken apart, only one of the bags would have the strap and the other would still be carried by a handle.
Also, the top handle and zipper system have been tested to easily support 60 LBS. If your models weight more than 60 total pounds we would suggest getting two bags.
Yes, we will be at Adepticon with a full both. We will have both bags and many foam tray to look at and try out. We will be giving away door prizes and overing discounts at the show. We will also trace your models and do custom orders that will ship out after the show. Stop by and see us if you are attending and we can answer any questions you may have.
Hope this helps
