Romeo... I do have one quick question (sorry...excited about one case for my armor division... which is in three sabol cases)... I have the antennae on my Baneblade... does the turret sit beside the tank... or is it stored with the turret on?

synchronicity - sorry, the 1520 is only sold as a full kit. You can always take it apart if you have smaller games and just use the top.

HungryTaz - It sounds like your tank will have a spot sticking out a bit higher than most. I would suggest measuring the total height of the tank. We can go up to 6 inches of foam so as long as it fits in 6 inches with the antenna on you should be fine. The tanks will have their turrets on with our cut outs.

Hope that helps.

The bags look great, but i'm still skeptical about the vertical loading on the smaller bag.

It just seems like it's not the smartest way to laod miniatures. For two reasons.

1. I don't like the idea of my models being vertical, I know you said they fit snugly, but what about smaller models? If i put grots in there aren't they going to spill every where?

2. Being able to only fit 6 in of trays is great, if your only trying to fit troops in it. If I want to add a couple of vehicles like my battlewagon and two trukks it needs 3 of foam. But those three vehicles won't fill up a whole tray. If the trays were made to fit flat, It would use 3 in deep and use the whole tray. Then I would have several more layers of trays to use my troops for.

I love battlefoam and plan on buying some to fit my custom ork biker nobz but I think for the price I'd rather buy an empty sabol bag and fill it up with a mix of battlefoam and some pluck n pick.

Daggermaw - Sounds like your in the need for the 1520 not the 432. P.A.C.K. 432 is designed for small games with light vehicles, some fast, and mostly troops. What your looking for is something that will take care of all the orky goodness. I should know, I play orks and I have the same items you have. Battle Wagons, Trucks, Bikes, and even a couple of Giant Squigoths. I use the big case since I can fit my Squigoths and vehicles in the bottom section, and my troops in the detachable top section. Yes, I fit to giant forgeworld Squigoths in the lower section of the 1520.

I just want everyone to understand that the 432 is designed to be light and compact yet still carry a butt load of models. Everyone will have different needs, so keep an open mind to the options available before you write off one of the bags. After all, I play 40k and fantasy and if these did not work for me, I would never sell them to anyone.

Remember, by a gamer, for gamers.

Hope this helps.

Sgt Diablo wrote:The reason that the large bag does not have a strap is because it is a two part setup. The strap can not work for a two part system because once the bags are unzipped and taken apart, only one of the bags would have the strap and the other would still be carried by a handle.

So... attach the (removable?) strap to the bottom case. When the top one isn't in use, the owner will have something to carry the bottom one with and, when they're both in use, the removable strap could "feed" through a couple nylon attachments on the upper one to help keep the whole thing in place.

Sgt Diablo wrote:Also, the top handle and zipper system have been tested to easily support 60 LBS. If your models weight more than 60 total pounds we would suggest getting two bags.

My concern isn't for the strength of the (nylon?) handle. It's for the strength of the 120 pound gaming geek with twig arms trying to lug around 50 pounds of models by a tiny little handle. I can see a lot of "Carry it a few hundred feet. Stop. Massage hand. Repeat." in the future of some of its' owners.

As for getting two bags... One's pretty pricey, as is. Another $275 for a second one is just unlikely. I can't see most gamers snatching up two... much less carrying two around by those little handles.

Don't get me wrong, though... I'm not criticizing your product OR its' price. I think they're quite spiffy, in fact. I'm just offering thoughts and suggestions for future bags (sorry... just can't bring myself to use the names you chose).

Boy are you gonna have fun helping me set up trays for a swarm of Tyranids. Have you packed any gargantuan creatures in foam yet? I have a Hierophant (10" tall), 2 Hierodules (magnetized limbs to save space), and a Trygon that are going to need foam and the 1520 is looking like a nice solution.

That sounds like a monster project. LOL No proble, the least we could do is give it the old boy scout try. Give us a call and we can discuss how we can fit all of those great models.

The 1520 is the only possible solution so let us know when you want to get started.

Thanks

MM look at the pics for the big one it has back pack straps the small bag that zips to it does not need a strap I carry the gw large case bag that holds 2 large cases and it weighs like 30 or 40 lbs full.
like diablo said if you have that much weight even it out between cases or get a luggage hand truck.

Atleast I'm not the only one who doesn't like the name. I'm glad the bags don't have the name on them atleast.

@Diablo

In the example of the preloaded bag you talk about 3 inserts which add up to 6" but in the picture I count what looks like 5 foam trays. I'm just curious as I'd like to know the exact count. Or is that a 3" w/4 1"ers? Let me know as i might be very interested in this for my Guard and GK's. I've been waiting to see what you've had since I heard about it from my buddy Kyle.

Hulksmash - That picture is a bit miss leading. That is not the actual pre load out foam. Those are just some foam we had laying around that we put in there to show what it could look like. The Pre Load Outs will start showing up under the specific army names on our site in the next 3 weeks. Space Marines, IG, and Orks will be up by Tuesday. 40k will get done first, than Fantasy, Warmachine, AT-43, and so on.

Hope that helps.

Any chance of seeing a picture with someone carrying the PACK 1520 on their back?

I'm curious to see what it looks like when 'mounted' that way on someone's back.

These bags look fantastic !!!

Another benefit of the 1520 is that it will allow me to carry 2 armies. That way, if no one shows to open gaming with their army, I can always draft someone to play by providing a force for them to use.

Great work on these Romeo !! I love seeing something new and innovative hit the market. Good luck !!

lanman: given the exterior dimensions Diablo passed out on page one (16"x12"x7.5"), I would have to say that this thing should fly on most any airline as an "additional item" or as a "carry on" with ease and without a second look. I've put on close to half a million miles in the last couple of years, and regularly carry on my Targus for my laptop. It's about 22"x18"x10". I'm REALLY FREAKIN curious about this beasty myself since I'm carrying my models around the world in GW cases right now.

My only question is... in the 432 would I have room for a land raider, a couple rhinos/razor backs, a couple dreadnoughts, bikes, fifty marines, and a small bunch of terminators? I mean, the 1520 bag is MAJOR excess, and I'm not going to fork over the money for that, but I don't see the smaller case fitting everything I need in it ;_;

Cenartdamage - If you take a look at our video on our home page you will notice we have a very similar load out to what you need. The only difference is, no Landraider. We can swap that out for you, but you would need to go with the custom package. So yes we can totally fit everything you asked for in a 432.

Hope this helps.

I had to read this 3 times.
If you used punctuation, people could understand you more readily. It's hard to make sense of a sentence when you aren't certain where it ends and the next one begins.
I mean NO INSULT by that... just a constructive comment. I DO apologize if I didn't word that statement well enough to make that apparent.

That being said, I don't find (in my own words), "You should spend even more money on our product, or buy something else entirely, in order to remedy a problem with this item that we could fix with a small design alteration" to be an acceptable response to constructive advice on how to improve a (perceived) design flaw in an item.

The smaller one looks really strong and nice colors choice also! Although I have Tyranids with really odd shappes since all are converted, so I believe the only option for me would be the Big bag... I have a few questions and sugestions.

Sugestions:

I wouldnt change a thing on the smaller bag but the bigger one lacks the little extra pockets and bottle inserts etc... I would espect the bigger fella to be packed with Full extras.

I Think the bottom section of the big bag should be sold alone ( with the full extras XD) because i think its the perfect size for most 1500/2000 pts armies... Its like the big box is a bit to big and the smaller box to small.

Bigger bag is way to boxy and ugly and needs shoulder strap options or trolley... or full sexy extras XD

Questions

- How much is the shipping of the bigger one fully customized?

- Do you have a retailer in europe? ( because european customs will add extra charges to the order if it comes out of europe)

Regards and keep up the good work.

Hey Diablo, just a heads my opinion but I like the previous format for the webpage that let me know if your precuts were for a GW case, Sabol case, or your new cases. I contacted you about what I'm looking for but I figured i'd let you know here too.

Are you going to be selling the Pre-Load out foam seperatley? This would make it easier to by one bag (for now), and just switch out the different foam for a different army.

I really like the rigid-ness of the bags, i'm really glad you did that, the GW ones are are too rigid, and don't have any give, and the extra plastic makes them overly heavy. While the Sabol one are nice, I have had models broken when something heavy, like a GW case, falls on them.

Is there going to be room on the foam for these cases for any text? i think that's a nice little extra.

And hurry up and put up the pre-loaded pre-orders!
