I know GeeW would not push out another Chaos book back to back. But, has there been any talks or rumors about the BoC? Any foreseeable release time frame?

All I've heard, and there is nothing to confirm the veracity of this, is that the book will include things like Cockatrice, Gorgons and Chimera.

Now that would be awesome!

I'd love to see a well sculpted Chimera, though with Trish still in charge of monsters, it is down to 50/50 on that.

Anyway, I think it makes sense for them to expand the 'beast' aspect of the book, especially as GW saw fit to allow the all Troll army for the Warriors of Chaos!

Hopefully they'll address the whole '4 wide' thing too, and then we'll be off an running!

Is still a minimum of four wide. IS only a problem when fighting a big gribbly or Chariot, in which case you're usually stuffed anyroad!

But yeah, remember folks, this is only something I heard, and thus far, I am yet to find substanstiating evidence, despite having heard it from more than one source...

Totally have my fingers crossed though. Personally, I'd also like to see Mutants included, as despite being pretty common in the background, they aren't represented in the game which I find a shame, as their presence would help to illustrate the origins of Beastmen, both in terms of race and location

Hopefully they'll add a few new unit choices like mutants or something, as Doc Grotsnik said, especially since it seems like the policy is no more swapping units between Chaos books, which was something that made even the main man get a little teary eyed.

There will be a lot of duplication though.

Trolls, Dragon Ogres, Ogres (well, maybe not, as they'll get replaced with Minotaurs?) and such...

Over on herdstone there are many statements that suggest that we have to wait untill 2010 for the new book.
That would, well, "upset" me...

I've heard rumours of an autumn/winter this year release date. Just rumours though.

The only thing concrete I know is what was said during White Dwarf when they where explaining why the Dragon Ogres and Trolls had been taken off to the Warriors of Chaos.

The general hint seemed Beasts of Chaos would be more in theme in their hiding in the Woods of man. So all the sinister things that make you glance over the shoulder while alone in the woods for no reason at all. Sounds cool.

I'd reckon Mutants will be very likely though.

That explanation doesn't hold much water for me.

But the Beasts are the lesser forces, born into servitude to the Dark Gods.

Ogres, Trolls and Dragon Ogres have (or had in one case) the choice, so perhaps they do fit better with other Mortals who made the choice?

Actually what would fit better is if they still allowed Mortals, Beasts, and Daemons to take units from each others' lists as special or rare choices. You know, since it's like, the more chaotic thing to do.

But if Kid Kyoto's info is right, that the new models are amazing and the art is fantastic and when the army book comes out everyone will want to start a Beastman army, then I will be pretty pumped and definitely think about starting a Beastman army.

I really like the old beasts of chaos book, I just reckon it's not so competative these days. A slight leadership bump would go a long way.
