I was looking through Perry miniatures and on the bottom of this page. Select Peter Jackson minis from the drop down at the top of the page. There is a pic of Alessio and some other GW staff at the Weta studios in NZ. AS you can see, the Giant on the left is Alessio. Now what I want to know is he actually that tall or are the Perry twins just really short?

The Perry twins are pretty short guys. Having met them I'd estimate around 5'5" or so, maybe less. Again, having met him, but not measured him against a ruler or anything I'd say Alessio isn't a giant, just taller than average at around 6' or so!

Bah! I was hoping this was a new Citadel model.

'The new Alessio giant takes to the battlefield and roars his fearful battle cries "Is-a say in rule, it-a not say I can't!" and "Beautiful laydeez!"

sorry to say this, but that's a bit more than 7 inches there mate. I'd say in that picture Alessio is made to look about 6'5".. More like a full foot taller than those Perry twins.

Does he really sound like that last guy?

Well, given they are all reclining/leaning etc., and at differing distances from the camera, the picture can hardly be taken as proving anything.

I'm 5' 8" tall and have talked face to face with all three individuals. I can say categorically that the Perry twins are "a few inches shorter than me and that Allessio is a few inches taller than me. I'd be amazed if there was anything more than 12" in it.

This photo is the best comparitor I can come up with:

It's a bit better than this one!

There's an interview on http://www.tabletop-hdr.de from the Essen show in 2005 that you can dig out if you really want to hear his Latin charm in action!

Link to zipped download of interview in audio format: http://www.thelastalliance.com/downloads/AllessioInterview.zip

I assume you mean Latin as in the tribe who became the Romans since Alessio's from Italy.

It's a well known fact that every Rider of Rohan has a Hobbit on the saddle behind him. That's what the gossipy old ladies in Minas Tirith told me, anyway.

Also, something about the king's hands...
