As far as I know, base on information read on Warseer, it's quite a far way down the pipeline. So don't hold your breath!

This model is awsome i hate the jetbikes at the moment but this would make me buy heaps

I like it too, but I doubt we will see it until the Codex.
It's just too big of a release for GW to release it as one of their "Surprise" releases. Meaning, when It is released it has the potential to create tons of fresh interest in Eldar and could sway many of us to start a new army with a new Codex with decent looking models. Currently it is only going to be of real interest to current Eldar players.
The only issue I can see with this model is getting any real variation in pose of the riders. I want my bikers to be swinging chainswords at the very least!

Seriously, I don't know why the hell they haven't already. Especially since Jervis said in White Dwarf they were getting away from that whole "Can't release models until codex, durr!" thing. This is a good way to start.

It's all good... I work in Secondary ed... It just surprises me how quickly information/this stuff gets out to the youngones!

when that comes out jetbikes will get really good rules.. it looks pretty cool though. The rider looks awarkard somehow.

Jetbikes have good rules now. Current model is ok, but new one would be better.

According to Jervis Johnson when I asked at LAGD last year about this specific piece, it will be released whenever GW can find the time to break it up into sprues and find a release spot to slot it into.

He wasn't being intentionally vague. He honestly said that as of now, they have NO plan to release it at all. If they ever release it, it will be whenever they decide they have the time to release it.

I'm guessing Codex: Eldar for 5th Edition.

Which probably translates into no sooner than 2H 2010, but probably 2011 or 2012.

They preview these models at shows and then just forget about them. I understand the thought to release with new codex, but a splash release always makes the players happy.

They could release this with a conversion kit that allows for Warlock riders to be made.

Ah, make no mistake, Eldar is by far my favorite 40k army.

I wish I could see the new codex/minis now but I fear that it will not be realeased until the 25th edition!

What I don't get is that they've said themselves that they're going to start doing splash releases. But the guy who said as much said they won't release it as a splash release, if they ever do.

Makes sense to me! Tell the customers you're changing your business model and then...not change it and keep doing the same annoying thing people have hated for years!
