Some items actually will need some glue. I think the beds were one of those. Some of the screens are a bit tricky, too. I do wish there were instructions. I'm still not sure how the strategy table is supposed to go together. I suspect that the scatter terrain sheet may have been a bit off when it was cut. I noticed some fit issues with a few of the objects as well. The crates wrre the worst, but I do recall having issues with the lockers and the C0-2 scrubber as well. I never had any issues with the apocalypse terrain though and my actual terrain sheets are also pretty much flawless. I think the problem may just be with the scatter sheet.

I got some 15mm goodness done this weekend.

First, we have some Nephilim robots from Micropanzer.

The Nephilim Alpha

He apparently has some kind of hose-fed energy weapon. He's a lot chunkier and bigger than my other Nephilim robots and, along with the other Alpha sculpts, is the biggest figure in this particular range. Not visible due to my lighting sucking, he's got some orbs on his thighs I painted to match his eyes.

Smaller than the Alphas, but bigger than the regular troops, we have the Nephilim Heavy Support Infantry.

I'd decided back when I did the basic troops that I would color code each unity type. So, basic troops are yellow, Heavy Support are white, Alphas are red, and when I get them the snipers will be green and the specialists will be blue.

From Clearhorizon Miniatures, I got a set of their Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland Rangers. The guys were designed with the intention of being used in games of This is Not a Test. They're pretty cool little figures, so I'm looking forward to finishing them. Plus, they came with a dog.

Here's the first one.

Finally, while not technically 15mm minis, we have a pair of GW Rippers.

At 15mm, these things are as big as a regular human. I wish I had some of the other types, because they make great man-sized monsters.

Two new additions for today.

A second Wasteland Ranger. This one appears to be armed with some kind of grenade launcher or something.

Second is a gang member from Rebel Minis. He was included in their All Things Zombie survivor boxed set along with other gang members, civvies, soldiers, and rioters.

Update for 10/19, I finished the rest of the Wasteland Rangers. Just to be a bit cheeky, I decided to give each member a primary color, Power Ranger style.

Rocket launcher

Loader

Regular trooper (possibly lmg)

Leader

And finally, dog.

That tiny wasteland doggo

All the wee minis look great, and tempted to hunt down the Nephilim, dig that three-eye armored look.

Boss Salvage, if you're seriously interested in picking up some of the Nephilim, the company that makes them, Micropanzer is shutting down. The very ladt day to order from him is October 31st. He says he had a buyer interested in picking up his lines, but hasn't said who just yet.

His shop, while it still exists is www.micropanzer.com

Oh! Thanks for letting me know, I'll give them a serious look. 15mm is hard because I have virtually no use for it unless it's large enough to fudge into 28mm, but Kings of War lets me get away with quite a few shenanigans.

I finally, finally finished the last two figures from my First Strike box set. It took me months, but I finally completed it. Here's the last Death Guard Marine, the one with the Blight Launcher.

I thought boils and pustules were already pretty well covered in the line, needed something a bit more Chaos-y. I figured eyes would do the job. They're a bit rough looking, but I'm pleased with them.

And here's the last Pox Walker, who I'd been saving until I could get myself some of that Nurgle slime Technical Paint.

So, I took pics of all of the First Strike minis. Can I just say, my camera sucks. Every pic has at least one guy blurry and the damn thing just wouldn't focus. I think it's time I bought a new camera. Ugh.

Here's the Primaris Marines.

The Reivers

The Death Guard

And the Pox Walkers.

Start learning them rules so we can actually play!

Which side you want to be though?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Why is the dog the green ranger?

Everything looks great there, especially the primaris reivers with their camo.

The grenade launcher guy is the green ranger. The dog wouldn't have looked very good in pink though.

I got a few projects cleared off the table tonight.

First, some Skitarii Fresh Forged, who I totally stole from AAN/Agis. His idea was way too good not to steal.

I whipped up a quick little piece of scatter terrain for my 15mm minis.

And finally, another mech for my 15mm forces. My pictures do it absolutely no justice.

It's a bit hard to tell, but this thing is a modified version of one of Micropanzer's Not-Titanfall mechs. The sculpts were done by Flytrap Factory and originally sold through Zombiesmith, but Micropanzer bought the molds and sold them through his shop before it closed down. Micropanzer must've bought some of Flytrap's other molds though, because the head for this mech was last seen being used on some greens for some 28mm scaled Not-Titanfall pilots. Sadly, those guys never came about. But, the 15mm ones and their mechs did. They're cool kits, but an absolute pain to assemble.

What are those Fresh Forged made from? Skiitari? Genestealer Cults? Chaos Cultists?

The Skitarii are using GW and Anvil Industry bits. Legs, torsos, and backpacks are Anvil. Heads and arms/guns are GW. The guns were slightly cut down, too.

Ah, being able to take a photo using natural daylight really is nice. My photos come out looking so much better. Here is my newly finished banner bearer for my Weeping Legion Plague Marines.

I picked up Screamer Pink over the weekend and this guy was my first time using it. It's a pretty nice paint for doing those fleshy bits on Death Guard.

I was good and productive yesterday. I got four figures finished up.

I discovered that I had a couple of Unity Council Marines left from the Afterlife range that I still hadn't painted, so I got one done.

I also finished the final two Unity Guards, also from Afterlife.

And, lastly, the one I really tried to put some effort into. This is Anvil Industries' limited run Commissar model. He was previously available for a limited time when they did their preorder run on the trench fighters, but only if you bought a platoon. After that, he became a convention only figure. I got lucky and grabbed one during their Gencon sale. The figure had options to also have a plasma pistol and a power axe. This particular accessory setup was chosen by Highlord Tamburlaine.

I like the Unity Guards.

The white helmet/ dark uniform seems familiar, but I don't know where I've seen similar designs.

Are you working this Friday? Maybe we can get some sort of game in, or possibly this weekend?

Did you ever see Equilibrium? Joel said he based the Unity Guards' design on the bad guys from that movie.

As for Friday, yeah, I have to work. So, no games for me.

Yep, that's the one.

Another Afterlife model painted up last night. This is the Republic's CQB Pattern Goliath armor.

Since the Goliath took some time and effort, I decided to do something a bit less work intensive yesterday and painted a trio of Mantic Walking Dead zombies. The great thing about painting zombies is that they can be painted up really quickly. I got these three done in a little over an hour.

Whipped up another three zombies last night, which finishes the Zombie booster.

I also painted my first two mercs/insurgents from Anvil Industries.

Sort of different for me, but today's update is a Veer-Myn Nightmare with Chem Sprayer.

I've painted him up to match my Weeping Legion Death Guard. I had the epiphany that I could totally use these guys as abhuman cultists for my Death Guard. Most of their weapons match up, too. With just the Deadzone starter, I should be able to field a decent unit of cultists to support my Death Guard in Shadow War, too. On top of that, based on their weapon options, I think I could also run them as Eschers in Necromunda! Fun times ahead. Unfortunately, I currently only have one other Veer-Myn Nightmare, so those plans will need to wait until I can get that starter set.

Which are the nightmares? The big ones?

Gimme a few days, I can rustle some up for you. I should have some unbuilt ones laying around....

You know what? You're right. Nightmares are the big ones. For some reason I was thinking this guy was a Nightmare. He's actually a Progenitor. My mistake. I should hopefully have his buddy with the Spitter Rifle finished tonight.

The lenses have a lot of depth on him.

I've got some plastics if you're interested in converting a progenitor.

Did the basic plastic troops have parts to make Progenitors? If so, I'm betting I could use the Progenitors as full-fledged gangers and the regular rats as Juves. Hmm. Let me know if there's anything you would be interested in trading for some rats.

I did get the other Progenitor finished, too. This one is armed with a Spitter Rifle. I'm thinking it could be used as a stubber.

These guys will make some great cultists for my Plague Marines. I'll have to figure out some way to make some armed with shotguns though.

They have some techy parts that could work, but would require some armor bits on the arms and legs. The weapons off the Nightmare sprue might look suitable for the role.
