Hi,
I need some help with my next buy. I have chosen to collect Chaos Space Marines in 40k and have already purchased AoBR for the rulebook and Marines to convert to Chaos. The models are being painted to represent traitors from the Chapters loyal to the Imperium who have turned to the ways of the Chaos Gods (mostly Slaanesh and/or Tzeentch).
What should I buy next with a budget of around $250 AUD. I prefer to buy cheaper, plastic models and then convert into the more expensive things. Could you also write a list for the models that you recommend? All comments are welcome.

I would but yourself some transport. Rhinos, landraiders, anything that can get your troops where you need them to be. I'm sure alot of people would recommend getting some obliterators, but they are a little pricy. There are a couple of good threads in the modelling section by folks who have converted their own, they might give you some ideas!

P.s. big ups for playing Tzeentch!

Buy the codex and create an army list.

The CSM battleforce and a daemon prince are good bets.
Loads of spare bits in the battleforce to convert your existing dread, marines and terminators with.

First you need two models that can take lash....

truth be told I'd go with the battleforce or bulk out on plastic warriors to start with, plastic lord box too, maybe 1000 sons? since you have a theme in mind already, although i'd recomend you point up a list (or 4) before you buy too much.

I don' t know what 250 AUD buys, but I'd suggest a SM Battleforce *and* a CSM Battleforce, and have you mix the two piles of minis & bitz together.

$250 will go a lot further here than it will in our country mate. You know you can save 30% just by buying from GWUK directly rather than GWOZ? And you save even more at the link I just posted.

Agreed with buying the codex first, otherwise you'll probably end up wasting money on things that don't suit your playing style.
