I have a theory: anything in the Apoc book which isn't a forge world or a conversion will be a new release soon.

Given that the Brass Scorpion seems to fit the bill, what do people think about it possibly being a new release?

Not what I meant - the brass scorpion in the apocalypse rulebook datasheet is different to that one. I'm wondering if this points to a new GW plastic.

Forge World covered that model so no need for GW to do the same. Especially not so soon after FW releasing one.

They did it for the Baneblade, Stormblade etc. and also (soon) the Valkyrie.

yes, but all of those kits you just listed had been released for some time before the plastic version was made.
the brass isnt that old.

I imagine the orders placed for FW kits are a good gauge of demand for GW.

IE: Loads of people bought the resin Baneblades/Valks/etc. so GW decided it would be worth the investment to do them in plastic.

They might release a plastic version of the Brass Scorpion one day, but I seriously doubt it would be anytime soon.

That's a conversion, unless I'm very much mistaken.

All those models were out years before the plastic ones. You might as well add drop pods into that mix too.

Whirlwinds, too(at least I'm pretty sure the Forge World one came out first, it's hard to find their original release dates sometimes).

The brass scorpion in the APOC book is made from two defilers smashed together. When apocalypse came out, there were several articles in WD and on the GW Website showing how to convert one. There were also events run at GW stores to convert your own brass scorpion. So no, it will probably not be a new plastic kit anytime soon, and forgeworld just came out with their version.
