Indeed, though GW assassins were pretty impressive when they first came out, which must have been 1995-1996.

They have the sense to bring out stuff for more than one faction each month.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

yeah the GW assasins are showign their age rather a lot these days, but also they don't get played as much these da ys cause its more dificult to tale them in a standard 40k army.

tbh i am uysing a highlander model in my Arbites army the SAS guy as a calidus assasin, still nto sure what to use as a vindicare

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

You know I checked this game's site out, and maybe I have to get more used to things, but I'm having a hard time pulling a consistent style from any one faction. You show me a model, and I have a hard time knowing which side it ought to belong to. Does that wear off?

While it is all very 'anime' in the general sense, I'd have to say that yes, you eventually get to easily tell one faction apart from the other...

Not trying to start a debate, honestly I'm curious, what part of Haqqislam do you find objectionable?

The Land of the Rising Sun

Not a strong month for my tastes I must say.

Yup, just the right size. I´m using the ninjas as Insane Eldar Killer Clowns from Hell (TM).

Navarro: Kempeitai, the japanese Gestapo? Is Yu Jing going the comissar way or does he have other battlefield role?

Jenkins: You don't have jurisdiction here!
Smith Jamison: We aren't here, which means when we open up on you and shred your bodies with automatic fire then this will never have happened.

I respectfully dissagree. I use the old Ninja assassin, and I think he still looks fantastic. But then, that is just my opinion.

These do look really cool though. I just wont get into any other games, I have too much going on with 40K and Fantasy to pick anything else up.

You know, that's the problem I keep having. I love the look of this game, and people say it's great, but I can't make heads or tails of which army each is supposed to be for (besides the blatantly obvious, i.e. the dudes with the kilts).

Great figs though. Are there any Dakkites who play and enjoy Infinity? Is the rules translation a big barrier?

You've got the touch!

YEAH!

They are, but the proportions are different. The minis tend to be thinner, with longer limbs and somewhat less massive heads than GW models.

By that do you mean "No, they won't fit with GW stuff" or "No, they aren't proportioned well"?

You'd be right about the first and somewhat wrong with the second...

Here is the official fluff from the site:

The Kempeitai is a clandestine and subversive unit that has infiltrated the Nipponese Army of Yu Jing. Their members are diehard nationalists, loyal fanatics to the Japanese Emperor, their symbol of the subjugated Japanese nation. Their ultimate goal is to free Japan from the tyranny of Yu Jing, using any means necessary.

The Kempeitai fights Yu Jing by attacking its army, the main tool of submission to the StateEmpire, from the inside. As opposed to the Tatenokai, the Kempeitai only attacks military objectives and is composed entirely of experienced soldiers that operate from inside the Yu Jing Army. Its creation was consequence of the Yu Jing High Command’s attitude towards the Nipponese troops, who are treated as expendable cannon fodder.

This subversive unit performs espionage, sabotage and assassination tasks to undermine the operative capacity of the Yu Jing Army. Violent and implacable, their missions of punishment are true cold-blooded murders. Their targets are non-Nipponese soldiers and officers, as well as those Japanese military suspected of collaborationist activities, whom the Kempeitai are especially cruel to. The Kempeitai has assumed the protection of Nipponese soldiers enlisted in the Yu Jing Army, terminating those officers who disdain the lives of their men and place their troops in danger.

This elimination can happen even during combat, with Kempeitai troops taking command of the operation to ensure it finishes with the least casualties possible. To accomplish their mission, the members of the Kempeitai, helped by inside men in the staff and logistics departments, employ fake identities and ranks in the Nipponese Army of Yu Jing. The operative cells of the Kempeitai are never composed of more than three men, to maximize security.

Since its creation, the Kempeitai, which was cautious at first, has become more and more ambitious and daring in its operations. Any member of the StateEmpire Army can be a target for its goals. So much paranoia has been created that Celestial Guard agents investigate the deaths of all Yu Jing command officers, by natural causes, accident or in action, to divine whether it was caused by this relentless secret organization.

My bad, I don´t know how that no got added at the end of my sentence I wanted to say that said minis follow more or less classical proportions. Being 35 is hard on the mind

Ha! Try being 40!

Of course, it does beat the alternative...

I find the females fit 40k pretty well, but the male characters look like young adolescents due to the thin limbs others have mentioned. I think they are proportioned better than GW models (think more Death Cult Assassins than Cadians) but next to GW figures they look very slight.
So, lithe female assassins and eldar seem to be your best bet. Both assassins here would be really cool for that!

The game is great, its, I guess you'd call it a small scale skirmish game rather than a squad based game like WH40K, the mechanics are detailed, very detailed, amoungst other things.

The models, as I have probably written a million times over, leave GW minis looking like a blind man sculpted them using Blu Tac.....tones of detail, and amazingly proportioned.

Would I recommend using these figs for WH40K, mostly I'd say no.....and thats for a number of reasons. If you're mind is used to the GW-esque miniature then the CB miniatures will look slight and fragile (even though they are more humanly correct than GW!) the other reason is they will stand out like a sore thumb against the crap that GW is putting out, so your WH40K army will look like a melting pot rather than a coherant fighting force!

Best to leave Infinity minis to Inifinity, and don't even consider using GW mins to play Inifinity

I wouldn't blame anyone for proxying any kind of figs, even GW, for the Hungries. Worst point-to-dollar ratio I've seen in a while.

$33 for 12 points? Nah.
