South Africa!!!

Greetings all. I am super amped for the new IG codex, but after having a squizzle at the new codex I have a few related and unrelated questions.

1) Can the Basalisk fire indirectly? Its way to confusing for me.

2) The Hellhound by my lookings can make a move of 12"? Or am I smoking something?

3) I understand that there will not be any penal models for sale, is this correct?

4) Is the Hydra worth taking?? I know it will kill skimmers but is that all its good for?

5) Will all the LR variations be available or will forgeworld take our cash again?

6) and lastly, am I the only one whos confused??

Thanks to all who help!!

1.Yes.
2.Yes.Possibly.
3. Not initially, but you can use normal guard models or maybe model something cooler up ?
4. Do you like coffee ? It's the same sort of question. If you mean can it shot things other than skimmers then yes it can.
5.Eventually. In theory.
6.Yes.

Indeed, the Basilisk may now ONLY fire indirectly.

Unless I missed something in it's rules, it's stuck with the 36" minimum range.

Yeah, you missed the main rulebook rule that allows Barrage weapons to fire directly and ignore minimum range restrictions when doing so.
However, the Griffon and Colossus are limited to IDF only since their codex rules say so.

Wait, I didn't follow the big discussion threads about the imperial guard 'dex, so i'm quite misinformed.

Colossus?! Hydra?!

Could somebody point me to a thread about the new rules in the imperial guard codex?
