I'm making my own boards for bloodbowl... anyone know how many squares vertically and horizontally there are? My guess is 24L X 12W.... any help with this would be much appreciated.

Angron- crushing the theme and fluff of armies one horde at a time.

Not 100% on width but its more than 12. 7 wide on the line of scrimmage plus 3 or 4 each side.

26 Long I'm pretty sure.
It can't be 12 each half because then you'd only need to get the sprint skill on a gutter runner to score a TD.

I'm sure you need a +mv and sprint for a 1 turner.

Its 26 long x 15 wide. 4 squares per wide zone with 7 in the centre.

Also if you want it full size, each square's about 3cm x 3cm.

yeah,
you have to keep the square size exact, or your throw template doesn't work out right.

althought there is a online chart that shows you how many squares away in every direction you can legally QuickPass,ShortPass,LongPass,LongBomb to.

Panic...

Dependant on which print run of the GW original version you look at, or which joey stuck it together the squares can vary from 28 to 30 mm. General stick to the 30mm, everyone else does that makes boards.

Or, if you don't want the hassles of overlapping Big Guy bases, you could make the squares 40mm X 40mm. I've made 5 boards now doing that, and it has worked out quite nicely. The main thing you have to do is make up your own Throwing Template; I built 2 from acetate sheets and PK5 Drawing Board. If you measure all the lengths of the smaller Throwing Template (Quick Pass, Short Pass, etc.) and multiply them by 1.33 (you've added an extra third to the squares), you'll come out with a Throwing Template for 40mm squares that is still exact. Comparing the smaller and larger Throwing Templates, they cover the same amount of squares.

However, a 40mm square board is a tad bigger...
