thanks to the strong power of suggestion (gee, wonder who that could've been?!?!), i placed a large(for me) order of new IG releases with Maelstrom Games. i called this morning and added to it. while i had the nice gentleman on the phone i asked him when the items would ship. to my amazement he said that the items would be shipping out 4-29, yes tommorrow! i thought for sure with the release date being 5-02 they wouldn't ship until Saturday. so anyone else who ordered with them, your items should be headed to you tomorrow. this was news to me, not sure if it was already known. didn't see it anywhere else yet.

This is because they already have the items in stock, and they only need to not release them before the date. This happens with many Video Game preorders too.

Plus it might be 5 day shipping or so into the bargain.

Yeah, the 5-day wait is what makes it legal. Let's say by some pure miracle you got them the next day, THEN they'd be breaking the law. (Selling an item before release date.) (To be even more technical they already broke that law by filling the order before it's release date. Pre-orders are one thing... Actually shipping them and etc. is another.)

I thought Maelstrom Games is located in the UK. If you're ordering from the US, as I gathered from Alarmingrick's location, the shipping may take more than 5 days.

actually, the last several orders i've received from the U.K. (feebay) have taken exactly 5 days.

Wow, that's amazing. It's only about 2 days more than First class here in the US.

I may have to consider ordering from them.

Hmm, my order is still being processed as of right now.

did they say why? or could it be they have to say that because it's not supposed to be shipped yet(ie not the 2nd)? you're closer to the U.K. than i am. maybe that's a factor.

They might as well ship it today because the post offices around here are closed tomorrow due to a national holiday.

Mine's finally packing, with a little luck I could be getting it this Saturday.

The UK has a banking holiday this Monday, so things might take a little longer.

well, if they were "processing" it, it should've been sent by now. and if it's already sent, maybe it'll be out of the UK mailing system by then.

No, after processing comes packing and only after that will it be posted. Mine has been flagged as being packed so with a little luck they'll send it on Tuesday at the latest.

I called them on Friday and was told that their email system is lagging a bit. My purchase actually all arrived before the online system told me it was done packing...

I mean, my delivery to the US was pretty swift, took less than a week to get there, maybe even faster. Does anyone know if Maelstrom delivers to army addresses in the middle east btw?

Whoo, my stuff came in today, completely unexpected. I checked the site just now and it's still listed as "packing".

well, i called them on the 5th and was told they didn't ship intil Friday. after being told they'd ship Wednesday.
does anyone else have a problem getting emails from Maelstrom? i've asked them several times, and still no resolution.
