I have to most AWESOME idea for a soul grunder EVER !!! ... lol

you get a blight drone from Forge World ... and then the chaos spawn sprues !!!

on the under side of the drone there is a relatively flat surface ... and with a bit of green stuff you could have a pare of arms ... i.e. the arm with the claw (from spawn) ... and another large arm converted to hold a sword !!!

and to make it more deamon than machine you could use the big eye from the spawn ... green stuff one of those over the mechanical eye !!!

add some gribbly tenticles and you have a soul grinder and a half !!!

to actualy include it in my nurgle deamon army as a "count as" soul grinder ... i will have to mention in my background fluff that it was once a blight drone ... but it over came its metal body and emerged as a deamon !!!

any one else like my idea ???

It almost looks... comical. I dont know how though. It might be more indicative of my sense of humor that I find humor in a giant plague ridden hovercraft with a meat cleaver than it actually being funny.

Am I the only one who thinks the Blight Drone looks like a shrimp with two ceiling fans attached to it? It's a great model, but....

Your defiler drawnings look interesting.
but will the spawn arms be big enough? drones are bigger than dreads...

It Might be better instead to make it more mechanical and use defiler arms... this will help clairify that is a defiler.
Drones are reported as being 12/11/10 fast skimmers,
So making yours heavier and closer to the ground will help show its defiler 12/12/10 walker stats.

a fast skimmer with phlem is pretty cool though!

I second the call for the cleaver trailing the ground, if pinned strong/correctly and balanced, you could use it as the hidden flight Stand.

I have heard that Resin + Plastic Glue = Poisonous Gas. I do not have scientific confirmation, however, and only remember reading it somewhere.

Yes, always wash FW resin before assembling/ painting. The mold release agent will otherwise make painting very difficult. Nice concept work. Do you plan on using some of the ne wplastic Chaos Spawn bitz on the drones?

If you need arms for it then how about the soul grinder instead?
granted its £35, but you get alot of spare parts if your just using the arms.

also, the destroyer arm would tie in with the rest of the model pretty well.


Just threw together a quick concept for you, hope this looks ok.
only done 1 arm as the other would block off most of it.




thats with a soulgrinders left arm, the right arm would be the claw or sword.

I'm liking where this is going, but seriously, your exclamation marks are making my ears hurt. Stop it. Please...

EDIT: Extra armour would make more sense for the 13:13:11. You could give it big dangly tentacles, spreading slime. And you could always have a guardsman/marine/eldar/tau/ork/whatever tied up in the tentacles, having the life choked out of them. I just scared myself
