Seriously, post something in the dakka swap shop - I'm sure loads of nid players will have spare mawloc/trygon(prime) heads lying around - just say you'll give 'em a couple of bucks or some tyranid bits or whatever in return.

Also, I love that trygon! You're flesh is better than mine. I just thinned down the rest of my bleached bone last night and did a bunch of basing on my random guants. I still need to get some ogryn flesh sometime soon. I opted to get more mechritered instead,derp.

I need a good scheme for the carapaces though. Black looks too wierd for hive fleet kraken, and scab red is too bright. Should I try dark flesh?

If you do the red over a black base it will help to darken it up if you remember to thin it a bit.

Ah, thinning it is a great idea. I'll make a mix of 3:1 Scab red and chaos black and test that out on a guant carapace. That should look the way I want it to.

Don't forget about maybe a badab black ink over the carapace.

That would work well too. Anything other than flat black would be good

This is a test pc I started when I hadnt settled on a scheme. All it was painted with was a black undercoat, dark green drybrush and then light greeb highlights. So a series of reds over black should give the desired result Samus.

Ok so I got some more work done in the Zoanthropes. I feel that any 2 living things are not exactly the same. With that in mind I went about trying to make a few variations in the vents on the back of the zoeys. Let me know what you think.

I have a great respect for stealers. Though a landraider or 2 tend to make life difficult even for them.

Nothing accomplished tonight for one reason only... My fiance ordered me the mega bits bag from the warstore and it came in today. Needless to say I have been drooling over it and dreaming of conversions to do and such. I love it and if I get a chance I will buy a few more!

Sadly I have not gotten anything done recently due to illness. I've been sick before but this made me contemplate going to the hospital. I still feel like hell and chances are I will not be working on my bugs for a bit. So for the 4 people following this thread I am sorry and I will try to get going again next week.

I know real life comes first Void. No worries there. Thankfully I can turn around at any given moment at home and see my beautiful kids and my amazing fiancee so no 40 year old virgin for me thankfully! I have been working with the warstore bits bag my fiancee bought me. I'm planning on helping my younger brother, Rene_Marines, with his Salamanders army. One of the things we going to do is make some vets with the BA muscle torsos. Since I'm not getting another bits bag anytime soon I'm using some Amazing mould putty to make moulds of the torsos front area. That way I can cast multiples to be altered after casting. This way they will be similar but not exactly the same. Now I just need the $40+ needed for the casting resin...
