Agreed. Though you might want to cut off the shoulder stocks and/or pistols grips to reduce the obvious gun-ishness of the parts.

Hey all i am pretty new to the forums so i still haven;t got the ettiquette right , i have not made any process pics apart from this one . This is quite an old pic though i still havent painted him yet just base coatl
@
Gunzhard: Puny tau! heh hehe
Sanguinary Dan: yeah i know the vents look like guns but i nevr did change them , dont know why, i think because they are so skinny , the stock and grip add volume, but your right they should come off!
Viktor von Domm: as i said this is an old pic so i cant post any more build pics , sorry , as for whats its made from, ermm. I requisited some toys from my children , bad dad!! the vents come from a Gi joe mega bloks vehicle they were side cannons , i think, the main body is a japenese gundam model not sure which one , this type of robot i think, but this exact model make, similar though [url]http://en.gigazine.net/index.php?/news/comments/20090714_black_eco_gundam/
just cut up a bit to make it look stubby, i might have used a couple of parts from another gundam for his back , generally cheap toy shops are a great source of inspiration for me !
oh and the backs of the legs the pistons come from a lego bionicles set ! and his crotch is from the battle for mcragge pylons , tanks from cadian flamers etc..

the bionicles tip is of great value to me... i will salvage some of my kids in the near future. as you mentioned it i recogniced the parts...as for gundam, i googled it and now ebayed it and these models are a good source for scratchbuilding. did you greenstuff the upturned omgea for ultra use?
i think when painted this midel has great potential, have a go and let us see a beauty^^

Iam sorry i dont understand what you mean exactly, could you clarify please. is this the pylon (force field) in its crotch you are asking about? if so i green stuffed to fill in andy big gaps, the biggest problem for me with this build was the bust and if the omgea is the sarchophagus? , the green stuff is again just to fill gaps between the edges. hope this helps mate.
and good luck trying to get them bionicles from your children lol, like the grinch who stole christmas lol

Viktor: I think its a case of white plastic and a bad angle.
The blade on my libby dread is made from 6mm plasticard lol (pain in the arse to cut with a blade)
Also, the front has been cut inwards to make a sharp edge on the front, so that may be whats making it look thin.

@ jack, yeah now that you mentioned it it is really a case of angle an point of view. guess i just expected there to be the symbol^^.
as for the bionicle parts, well our lego is stowed away momentarily, as the have enough toys at the moment. we tend to give some of our toys sort of a time off and let them play in periods with certain stuff... although it was designed as a solution to see the carpet again, it didn´t work^^
as for your blade. blades and especially edges should be thin, so everything right there. its just that it seems compared to the rest of the model a bit flat to me... in the middle of the blade there is a big space, maby do something with that, like adding rivets or icons or something...
besides i like the holes on the dull end of the blade, looks buisiness^^ like a true buttchersknife^^.
but all in all its a very fine model, does it count as vernarable?
i like to see it paited one day, keep up you good work^^

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

is it intentional that the sarcophargo bit is missing? well fluff wise the dread pilot should have other means to "see" his surroundings and the targets therein...
