Well this is my first Wraithlord and its nothing special but i noticed the lack of pink lords around and thought what the hell. Also the lean to the left is intentional, thought it might be better then having him bolt upright

Wins thread.

Awesome tones.

Is this a display model only?

The base is sort of a deal breaker for TLOS...

These are not my models, I have a friend who is a pretty decent painter. He is currently working on Space wolves, however his Salamander army gets lots of compliments. Here are a few pictures of his dreds. I did ask his permission to upload these, he is not a member of Dakka yet!

Not really in need of a dread as the Crazed! rule sucks, but the Fw dreads rock so much that I might need one anyway... If I do I'll put it here.

Here are my tech marine and libby dread. I need to give them both banners. Looking back I should have used the dread body of an iron clad. that would have been a bit different. Does anybody have a forge world adeptus mechanicus symbol? If I chopped it in half would it fit on the sides of the front of a dread? sort of like how the chappy dread has the wings?

What's this fascination with oversized dreadnought arms? Keep them small and effective. Almost all of the libby dreads I see have some sort of blade that looks way to big.

As for techmarine dreads...GSing little gear teeth isn't very hard. A servo harness could be easy, if you use trukk bits or something.

When I was thinking of what to do I was thinking about what would you need to kill a massive demon? I had in mind the massive forgeworld greater demon and what you would send in against that (well, apart from that grey knight titan somebody did). even with that not in mind what could you do that was in scale with a dread otherwise. I suppose you could have a smaller weapon or something but what unless you totally scratch build it.

Re the tech marine dread, you mean minus the servo arms ? I thought it looked cool, it's based on the aliens powerloader toy that konami did ages ago. I considered little manipulator arms at the front, like the tiny arms on the terminator 2 tank hunter killer. could still do those.

^ I saw the resemblance too. Cookie please.

Anyway, I agree with all these oversized arms (except perhaps the a la aliens powerloader arms) are too big. Paulson games have got it right with their Libby Dread conversion kit, however.

"Hi, I'm Padre and I'm a dread-aholic..."

Really enjoyed reading this thread, particularly impressed with the "Demon"-standard dreadnought. Well done.

Some photos of my Dreads from my "Emperor's Wrath" Loyalist Chapter, with a group photo at the end (including a couple of Legio Cybernetica Robots!). I picked up a FW 1000 Sons resin dread very cheaply, and converted him over to a "Rifleman".

One of the dreads is a quad-autocannon "Space Crusade" Dreadnought, which I believe predates even the "peanut"-style RT Dreadnoughts.

Padre.

Huh, glad I'm not the only one that thinks the MkV Dreadnought looks better with the Ironclad's shin-pads. I think you may have just escalated the price on Sentinel Autocannons on the bits market.
